Summary “Product distribution: the basics”

Regardless of the type of business, large, medium or small, the type of

transport required must be selected, depending on the client's need and also on
the type of merchandise, provided that the client accepts the terms and
conditions of the means of transport. For example, a customer X asked
Colombia for a state-of-the-art computer from Colombia, it is there that the
seller proposes to the customer what method of transportation he prefers, if he
is not eager to receive the product that China could send by ship with more
products They would travel to different cities, whereas if the client shows that he
is very anxious, it would have to be sent by air so that his merchandise does not
take long to arrive. For this, the client's budget must be taken into account and
thus satisfy their needs.

It is vitally important to know what type of merchandise is to be transported,

whether it is perishable, non-perishable food merchandise, dangerous
substances, palletized merchandise, heavy or oversized loads, since for each of
these merchandise there are regulations that regulate their transport. , such as
forms of storage, labels, insurance and policies.

Insurance is a fundamental factor when the load is expensive and delicate,

since if there are episodes of damage and loss, they will respond for an average
percentage of the item or product being transported.

Means of transport:

Land: It is responsible for moving most of the economic activity of a country,

since it is one of the most popular modes of transport to deliver goods from one
side to the other through the use of roads.

Maritime or river: This type of transport plays a very important role in

contemporary economic dynamics. River transport can deal with the movement
