Saturday, June 6, 2020

(Washington, D.C.) - The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is
proud to partner with IBM to launch WeThrive, an executive education program focused on
developing adaptable and sustainable Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs) when facing
ambiguity and crises.
WeThrive will concentrate on the support and continuity of WBEs through the COVID-19
pandemic. The program offers three tracks and includes courses across five disciplines set
to help WBEs learn strategies for continuity as they endure uncertainty, grow, and thrive in
the future.
“COVID-19 disrupted the business community and it is our responsibility to make sure our
Women’s Business Enterprises have the capabilities to adapt to the new undefined way of
conducting business. Our focus is on ensuring our women-owned businesses have resources
and opportunities to not just maintain but prosper to continue providing for the thousands
they collectively employ,” said WBENC President and Chief Executive Officer Pamela
Prince-Eason. “We are glad our corporate partners recognize the value of investing in our
WBEs during a time when they themselves are facing challenges.”
The program will consist of weekly video assignments and group activities accompanied by
 Weekly webinars led by corporate representatives
 Discussion platforms for industry specific peer groups
 Coffee table discussions
 Townhalls between WBENC and WBEs

WeThrive will take place virtually from Tuesday, July 14 through Friday, September 11,
2020. With the support of IBM and additional partners, the program is available at no cost
to 200 WBENC certified WBEs in good standing. Application are open now through June
23, 2020.
