PERSONAL ACTION PLAN FOR QUEEN

QUEEN’S LEARNINGS SHARED IN THE CLOSING SESSION

● I want to develop people – I want to have contributed to making them better. If they leave the
organization, I want them to be better having worked at CSGO than they were before. I want to
help them reach their full potential.
● I want my team to feel valued – I know they will do more than what is expected when they are
valued. I want to walk around, interact with my team, hear about what they are being challenged
by and support them in creating a solution. I want to be their advocate.
● I want CSGO to be the best company to work for – I don’t have all the answers and so, I want to
bring the company’s greatest asset – our people – onboard. I want to help them envision what
this organization could be. I want to restore hope and inspire.

Action Steps
The following actions were identified by Queen to increase her ability to meet her desired outcomes.

1. Empower and Develop Staff

a. Allow Accountant to perform key financial tasks (board financial reporting and audit
assessment)
b. Allow HR Generalist to present materials to the HR board committee
c. Ask PR and Media Specialist to assist the PA with materials for the board
d. Firmly advocate to the board for recommended staff salary increases

2. Empower Self
a. Redesign Organizational chart and website’s ‘Our people’ page on website to visually
represent leadership role in organization
b. Having discussion with Ombudsman about organizational chart and her role during Board
meetings and in daily decisions (Ombudsman’s case report to follow Queen’s CEO report
at board meetings)
c. Run board meetings, only consulting Ombudsman in relation to the complaints
d. Identify a CEO networking group and/or Executive Coach to support in personal
development
