SUMMARY
• Average amplitude of the spike on bearing 1 is 12 to 20 um
• Spikes are observed on both VTs (X1 and Y1) with difference in
magnitude
• The spikes are instantaneous in nature on both VTs
• Spectrum plot and full spectrum plot doesn’t indicate abnormal
behavior
• Orbit plot shows characteristic kinks of Electrostatic Discharge,
particularly on Bearing 1

RECOMMENDATIONS
• Carbon brush of machine to be checked for looseness and
accumulation of dirt at brush to shaft interface

• Electrical loop of proximity probes to be checked in


available opportunity corresponding to machine history

• Operational and vibration data to be shared with OEM prior


to availability of opportunity
