Water Soluble NPK Fertilizers

A broad range of top-quality, fully and
rapidly soluble fertilizers for a wide range of
crops and uses.
Uses
To provide fertilizer dissolved in the irrigation
water to any overhead or drip irrigated crop.
Benefits
• Wide range of formulations to suit many
cropping situations.

• Rapidly and completely soluble even in

Typical analysis: A wide range of analysis
but the choice is essentially:
High N (e.g. 4:1:2 Code GB0180)
To encourage healthy vegetative (leafy)
growth and good colour. Use after plants
are established up until flowering time
(then substitute with a high K formulation).
For leafy vegetables (eg. lettuces) use
continuously.
High P (e.g. 1:5:1 Code GB0179)
To encourage vigorous root growth and
good plant establishment. Use early in the
season when plants are young.
High K (e.g. 2:1:4 Code GB0172)
To promote flowering and subsequent fruit
production. Improves flavour and increases
sturdiness of plants. Use from the onset of
flowering and continue use up to harvest

Balanced (e.g. 1:1:1 Code GB173)
For general use to maintain plant nutrition
levels and promote healthy growth. Can be
used throughout the season.
Low P (e.g. 2:1:2 Code GB0565)
For outdoor, soil grown crops where there
is already adequate phosphate levels.
Also useful for substrate where elevated
phosphate levels are undesirable.
Formulations also contain magnesium and all
six trace elements.
Appearance: Blended crystalline powder
which dissolves to exhibit a blue indicator
dye.
Solubility in water: Varies but typically in
excess of 200 g/l (at 20°C).
Heavy metal content: Varies but always
below 10 ppm.
Application rates: Normally 1 gram of
Solufeed soluble NPK fertilizer per litre of
irrigation water. May vary according to the
sensitivity and requirements of the crop and
the growing system, typically in the range
0.5 – 2 grams per litre (see below for more
information).
Directions: The normal method of use is to
make up a 10% (1kg Solufeed NPK fertilizer
dissolved in 10 litres of water) stock-tank
solution, which is then further diluted with a
dosing pump at the rate of 1:100 (or adjust
as required) into the irrigation water.

An NPK feed for coir grown strawberries
where additional nitrogen (N) is provided by
nitric acid and calcium nitrate.
Benefits

handle and store.
Accurately made with top quality raw materi-
als for dependable performance.
Solufeed Coir Low N will provide the ap-
propriate nitrogen levels in feed solutions to
maximise the marketable yield of strawber-
ries.
Ample micronutrients are chelated to ensure
stable solutions and nutrients that are fully
available to the crop.

Benefits
Solufeed SF-C is a well established
formulation containing all-nitrate nitrogen
for healthy growth. The sturdy level of P2O5
ensures good establishment and flowering
and the K2O ensures firm, sweet fruit.
The substantial level of trace elements are
fully chelated (with the iron chelated by the
more available DTPA) to ensure excellent
availability of all trace elements even in poor
quality irrigation water. Dark blue colour
indicates presence in water.

Strawberry Special

Low-nitrogen protected Soft Fruit fertilizer
for use where the balance of nitrogen (N)
comes from calcium nitrate (CaNO3) and/or
nitric acid (HNO3).
Uses
Strawberry Special is a fully water soluble
NPK fertilizer designed with a low nitrogen
(N) content and intended to be used in
conjunction with calcium nitrate and/or nitric
acid. The nitrogen content of the calcium
nitrate and/or nitric acid supplies much of
the nitrogen the plant needs, and Strawberry
Special provides the rest. When feeding
calcium nitrate and/or nitric acid, it is often
necessary to reduce the level of the NPK
feed to maintain an acceptable fertilizer
concentration (EC level) in the irrigation
water and Strawberry Special is designed to
accommodate this.
Designed for the vegetative growth stage of
the crop (up to flowers visible). For the fruiting
stages add soluble potassium sulphate to
raise potassium (K) levels and produce large,
firm and sweet fruit.

Soil application
For general crops, apply as a coarse low
pressure spray immediately before the last
cultivation prior to sowing or planting. Where
crops are established, apply between the
rows. Applications should be incorporated

pressure spray in a wide circular band under
the limit of the full branch spread. For best
results, nutrients need to be in the root zone
before seasonal growth begins and this
can be achieved by appropriate application
timing.
