ABSTRACT
Almost all women experience worry, anxiety, and fear during pregnancy, childbirth and after
childbirth. The psychological burden of the mother can cause problems with the quality of the
fetus and the complications that accompany maternity mother. Based on the results of Pre-
Survey in PMB Ariyawati Susiandari from October to November 2020 there are 25 pregnant
women including 20% of birth mothers give birth normally , 20% decided to have a
Caesarean section, 12% of the fetuses had fetal distress, 8% of women had placental
retention, and 40% had normal vaginal rupture or birth canal tears.
The study used a pre-experimental One Group Pretest Posttest design. The population in this
study were all maternity mother on stage I in PMB Ariyawati Susiandari on January-February
2020 by 20 people, while the samples taken were 20 people. Bivariate analysis is used to find
out the effect of Hypnobirthing on reducing anxiety levels in maternity mother. Before the
statistical test is carried out, the data are tested in terms of normally measurement before
(pretest) and after (posttest) intervention is carried out the normality test data as a condition
of paired sample t test. In the results of the normality test using Shapiro-Wilk results obtained
significance data values is greater than 0.05
The results of this study were P-value (0,000) <0.05, which means that there is the influence
of Hypnobirthing on anxiety of maternity mothers on stage I in PMB Ariyawati Susiandari
Way Terusan SPI Central Lampung 2020. It is expected that with this research mothers are
able to carry out anxiety management by following Hypnobirthing classes start from
pregnancy so that mothers can be better prepared for pregnancy and childbirth.
