• Extracted urban green patches from target cities, and explored their characteristics using landscape metrics for area, shape and connectivity.
• Formulated a general rule to identify the most cost-effective size of urban green patches in tropical Asia.

• Develop an interactive tool to quantitatively predict the hydrologic impact of urban greenery plans and evaluate the cost effectiveness of BMPs.

• Conducted a comprehensive climate change vulnerability assessment for North Carolina’s 2050 Long-range Transportation Plan.
• Simulated future nuisance flooding regime with logistic regression and Monte Carlo simulation using 40 years of hourly water level data.
• Constructed a hydrologic model for prediction of future fluvial flooding.
• predicted future heavy precipitation occurrences based on 15-minutes rainfall and monthly rainday data from 50 rain gages over 40 years.
• Combined the predictions for sea level rise, nuisance flooding, storm surge, and heavy precipitation to estimate future road condition metrics.
• Fed future road condition metrics, including updated travel speed, temporary road closure and permanent damage to a travel demand model.
• Computed overall magnitude of congestion and road malfunction, and identified hotspots for climate change impacts.
