Regular Assignment (40%): 2000 word Individual Report:

International Retail Marketing Analysis


Deadline for submission (Week 6)
This assessment is the culmination of all the work so far in this module. Students are
required to draw up an International Retail Marketing Analysis. Following your initial
study of the nature and role of retail and the international environment, you are required
to create an International Retail Marketing Analysis for either “Ted Baker, Tesco or
Zara”
Requirement:
Students are required to present your answer in a report format and be able to apply
the learning from this module within their report. In order to present a well-constructed
report you must carry out a thorough evaluation of your chosen organisation’s
international Retail marketing activities and that of its key competitors, as well as
investigating the latest trends and developments within its particular sector.
A strategic Marketing report (analysis and recommendations) should be presented to
your chosen organisation’s senior marketing team, using the standard “Report” format
and presented to your tutor for assessment through the usual channel (uploading
through moodle)
The report will consist of 2000 words
The report must include:
A. Title Page
B. An executive summary. No more than one page.
C. Introduction: A brief synopsis of the report, usually one or two paragraphs in length.
D. Table of Contents: A listing of the major parts of your report and the appropriate
page numbers.
E. Body of Report: A description of the work assignment: Illustrations, graphs, charts
and sketches are properly part of the report and may be placed throughout the text or
included in an appendix and referenced (maximum of 6 tables allowed within the report).
F. Recommendations

H. References: A full reference list in the Harvard format is required. All sources of
information to support your report must be cited within the main body of text. (The
reference list is not included in the word count). It is expected that you will conduct
extensive secondary research to develop your report.
I. Appendices: If you use appendices restrict them to four pages maximum.
(Appendices are not included in the word count).
Application of knowledge gained throughout this specialised module so far
(M019 – Retail and Services Marketing) should be emphasised.

Assignment Submission
 Submit your assignment using the Turnitin link on Moodle.
 Assignments must be submitted before the deadline – if you fail to
submit you may fail the module
 Submission deadline: Week 6 – see moodle for submission date

 Remember: if you have any technical problem with submission, you must
email registry (registry.london@coventry.ac.uk) with screenshot of the
error message and a copy of your coursework before the submission
deadline and not a second later.
