LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN

I. Rationale: “Blended learning is an approach to education that combines online
educational materials and opportunities for interaction online with traditional place-
based classroom methods. It requires the physical presence of both teacher and
student, with some elements of student control over time, place, path, or place.”
-Wikipedia
The society is in a rapidly changing situation. Everything including Education sector
speed up its transition to more complex and technology-based world. We have gotten
any option to choose but to goes with the same direction-the world of technology.

But everything has its own pros and cons. There goes the people who are not yet
ready to switch from traditional to technological way of life. It is always part of the
story that some will be left behind because they were less digitally equipped and they
were digitally challenged. Those who cannot afford technology and those who are
deprived even of electricity.

The parent, teacher, learner and school staff share the same fears and apprehensions
of uncertainty of things brought about by the transformation. But the assurance of the
government and Bayanihan Act of the Stakeholders hold on to the promise of helping
each other. With the full support of DedEd to the private schools is a statement of
hope.

With the given challenges in face-to-face holding of classes, and the need for social
distancing, distance learning will be a major component of learning delivery for the
incoming school year. It is anticipated that majority will opt for distance learning,
with issues about access to online platforms and availability of gadgets. But with the
support of the mentioned stakeholders, we can do the transformation step by step.

The Masbate Polytechnic and Development College, Inc. is with the DepEd goal of
continuing the education despite of the pandemic. Following the standard safety
protocols of IATF the school will utilize the blended learning-teaching modality. This
will enable the teacher to adapt and adjust to the student’s capability and accessibility
to learning. Among these are combination of online learning, modular and face to
face teaching modality at the option of the students.
