This lesson teaches you all about the brand-new ASM 

community, and how to get the most out of it!

1. Using the ASM Community 

Take the following steps to access and use the ASM community:  
 
1. Log in to your ​amazingsellingmachine.com​ account.  
2. Click the three person icon at the top right of the page. The next page 
will look something like this:

3. Click your user icon at the top right of the page. The pop-up menu 
shows you any activity that has occurred in your account since the last 
time you visited:

4. Click your profile name (in this example, “Evil_Mike”) to reach your profile 
page, which looks like this:  

 
5. Choose from one of the following tabs:  
a. Activity: Anything related to you.  
b. Notifications: Likes, tags, etc.  
c. Messages: Private messages.  
6. Note: ​Anything highlighted in blue has not been look at yet. 
7. Click “Messages” to access your private messages, which looks like this:

8. Click “Reply,” type your reply, then click “Send,” to answer any private 
messages.  
9. Click notifications with an ​arrow​​ icon next to them to read replies to 
your posts.  
10. Click notifications with an ​@ ​icon next to them, in order to read any 
tagged posts.  
 
Community posts are organized with the latest post listed first. If you want to 
find information in a specific category, do the following:  
 
11. Click the Amazing Selling Machine logo at the top of the page.  
12. Click the “All Categories” button.

13. Select the category you want to visit from the drop-down menu. ​We DO 
NOT recommend browsing ahead to modules that you have not 
reached yet. ​This will only distract you. Focus on one module at a time.   
 
Some questions tend to be asked over and over. In those cases, the answers 
are usually listed! To find out if your question has already been asked, do the 
following:  
 
14. Click the the magnifying glass search icon at the top of the page, then 
type your keyword into the box (e.g. “freight forwarder,” “BSR ranges,” 
etc.).  
15. Read through the list of suggestions in the drop-down menu, to see if 
your answer is there. If you don’t find an answer, go ahead and post your 
question in the corresponding category.  
 
Now you know the basics of how to navigate the community. But where should 
you start?  

2. What to Do First  
Start by introducing yourself to the community, and getting to know people 
like you, who are ready to start changing their lives! Take the following steps:  
 
1. Log in to your amazingsellingmachine.com account.  
2. Click the three person icon at the top right of the page.  
3. Click the “All Categories” button at the top left of the page, and select 
“Welcome Module” from the drop-down menu.

4. Click “New Topic,” enter a title (e.g., “Hi from Austin!”), then add some 
introductory information about yourself—you can start by using the 
same information that you used in your bio!  
5. Click “Create Topic” at the bottom of your page, and you’re done. Plus, 
you’ve taken a step towards earning the “Breaking the Cycle” badge.  
6. Follow steps 1–5 each time you want to make a new post.​​ Be sure to 
select the correct category from the drop-down menu!  

3. Meet Your Mentors 

The mentors are a group of ASM sellers who have been very successful in the 
business, using this model. They want to help other people achieve the same 
level of success, by being part of the ASM community.  
 
Take the following steps to learn who the mentors are:  
 
1. Log in to the community.  
2. Scroll down the topics page, then click “Meet Your Mentors.”  
3. Note: Do not post in this thread.​​ It is designed to help you learn who 
everybody is. You will learn how to connect with the mentors later in this 
lesson.  
4. Take a moment to read about the mentors, so that you know who you 
are talking with when you start interacting in the community.  
5. You will know who the mentors are when you start posting because their 
name will always show up in green, with a shield next to it.

4. Tagging People  
Note: Please do not tag a mentor, unless you are already in a conversation 
with them!  
 
Take the following steps to tag specific people, when you are having a 
conversation with them in the community:  
 
1. Click “Reply” on their message.  
2. In the reply box, type the “@” symbol, then start typing their name.  
3. A list of suggestions will pop up. Click on the correct username.  
4. Type your response, then click “Reply.”  
 
Now you have the basics behind using the ASM community. Please keep in 
mind:  
 
● The more you use it, the easier it becomes.  
● The more you put into it, the more you get out of it.  
 
This community is one of your greatest resources, and the people who are a 
part of it genuinely want to see you succeed. Please take advantage of what 
they have to offer, and make yourself part of a welcoming, driven community 
of entrepreneurs just like you!
