Situation 1: Job search

Congratulations! You have just graduated from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia
(UTHM). You are looking for a job that matches your relevant qualifications. You have
decided to find your ideal job through Malaysia online job search platforms. Based on your
preferred job advertisement, you are expected by your potential employer to create an
electronic portfolio which comprises a job application letter (cover letter), infographic resume
and video resume in order to get a job interview.

Instructions: You are required to fulfil task A, B, C and D below to create your own Job e-
Portfolio.
TASK A (CREATE A WEBSITE)
1. Sign up for a free website building platform (e.g. Google site, Wix, WordPress or
more websites via https://www.thebest10websitebuilders.com) and create your own
website.
2. Browse through any online job search platforms (e.g. JobStreet, ReferJobs.my or
more via https://vulcanpost.com/450411/job-hunting-platforms-malaysia/) in order to
find your ideal job position.
3. Using your preferred website, you are required to include the following :
 Professional profile picture
 Career goal/objective (write in a paragraph)

TASK B (COVER LETTER)
1. Prepare a cover letter. Using your own website, your cover letter MUST include the
following :
 Job position
 Educational background
 Elaboration on personal achievements
 Elaboration on personal skills
 Closing remarks

TASK C (INFOGRAPHIC RESUME)

1. Prepare an infographic resume. Using the same website, your resume MUST include
the following :
 Personal information
 Educational background
 Personal achievements (work experience, internship, if any)
 Personal skills
 Reference

TASK D (VIDEO RESUME)

2. Prepare your own 2-minute video resume. Using the same website, your video
resume MUST include the following :
 Personal information
 Educational background
 Personal achievements (work experience, internship, if any)
 Personal skills
 Closing remarks

REMINDER:
By the end of week FOUR (4), you are required to share your website link with your
lecturer to be assessed. Failure to do so will affect your overall scores for this assignment.
