People ask me why I’m happy all the time. The shortest answer I can give is I love
life! My second response is Why not?
That said, I wasn’t always this happy. As a matter of fact, I lived in fear and anger
most of my life. It served me well in the business world. I channeled my fear into
productivity. I used anger to fuel my ambition. But I wasn’t happy. Along with the
accumulation of wealth and success, anxiety started building at a rapid rate. I was
always watching my back waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Ironically, I started exploring the subject of happiness to figure out why life sucked
so much. While on my Spiritual Journey, I reconnected with a long-lost friend of
mine- Happiness.
Happiness. What exactly is it? Everyone wants it. Rarely do we know how to truly
obtain it. At best, we may see glimpses of happiness while we are here on Earth.
For the most part, we live with a series of daily stresses, chaos and drama. We
don’t question it. It’s just how Life is. Every so often a ray of sunshine pops in.
We wonder. But it’s hardly worth the trouble to investigate it. After all, we are
now used to the daily stress. We have grown to enjoy doing 10 things at once
because we are, after all, being productive. We chase after money, because that’s
how we can buy more stuff for a moment or two of happiness.
Happiness is a Choice. It’s a skill that can set you free. 7 minutes a day is all you
need to commit to this Lifestyle. We are all busy people. Let’s spend some time
understanding how energy and your subconscious mind work. This will make your
7 minutes of Happiness super productive and effective!
Before we get into the 7 Minutes of Happiness lifestyle, let’s take a moment and
look at the vibration of Happiness.
In my opinion, there are two types of happiness. There’s the authentic Happiness,
which exudes from your core vibration; I call this your Inner Sunshine. Happiness is
who you are rather than what you feel.
Authentic Happiness: Ever notice people who are naturally happy? The whole
place lights up when they walk into a room. They don’t need to speak a word. You
automatically smile when you are with them.
When you carry the Happiness vibration, you can’t help but be happy no matter
what circumstances you’re in. Even when you’re upset, it will only be Moments
before you automatically shift into the higher vibration of Happiness. It’s how you
are calibrated; mind, body and Spirit. At times, you have to remind yourself you’re
sad because Life is that good! I’m not talking about denial here. That’s a whole
different topic for another day.
At the reception, some of us started cracking jokes like it was a family get-together.
We talked about how he was and what he did. To us, it was more of a celebration
party in his honor. As far as I was concerned, my father-in-law wouldn’t have it
any other way. But we got some pretty awful looks from other attendees. If I
remember correctly, I believe someone even walked by and ask “Shouldn’t you be
sad?”
My point of this is that our vibrations are calibrated at the higher frequency of
Happiness. Our natural set point is Joy. We bounce back to Happiness easily
because that’s where we are comfortable energetically.
While most people are calibrated to be in alignment with stress and negativity,
Happy people only see glimpses of sadness and anger every so often. We quickly
bounce back to our natural zone of Happiness while others bounce back to their
natural zone of dissatisfaction.
Manufactured happiness is never long lasting. It only hangs around for a few
moments; maybe a few days until the next hottest gadget is out on the market to
distract us. If we string enough manufactured happiness moments together, we
may seem happy all the time but we are not. We are actually just constantly “high”
from the addiction of consumer pleasure.
The sweet deal is that your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference
between authentic Happiness and manufactured happiness. This means, we can
alter subconscious beliefs with conscious efforts. Cool eh?
Since your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference, you can stage a set of
experiences to recalibrate your core vibration. Is this manufactured? Absolutely!
But this time, you are fully aware of what’s going on and choosing the types of
circumstances that will support your new Happiness frequency.
In order to shift effectively, there are two things to keep in mind with the 7
minutes of Happiness technique- pureness of your Intent and consistency.
Your subconscious mind & pure Happiness: First, your subconscious mind cares
about the pureness of your Happiness. Buying something for the temporary
When your Happiness follows happy moments, then you’re pretty solid. If the
happiness follows moments of relief, sadness, fear or anger, it’s probably not pure
enough to shift your vibration on the core level. If you can’t tell the difference yet,
do not worry. Start by noticing patterns. You will become aware of your
behaviors pretty quickly!
Your subconscious mind & consistent Happiness: Your subconscious mind cares
that the Happiness is carried at a constant rate within your core vibration. The
highs and lows of manufactured happiness can be destructive, as the subconscious
mind cannot make sense of the constant yo-yo effect. This is no different than
being on a diet. Before you know it, your body will only gain weight in response to
the erratic behavior because it feels unsafe. So, it is important we create a safe
environment for ourselves while recalibrating. This means, these Happiness
moments do not need to be grand. It works best with small stable acts you can
commit to each day with little or no labor. Consistency is the key.
Real Life examples of mixed messages: At this moment, you may ask “How can I
tell between authentic and manufactured happiness in real life?”
Example #1: We find joy in watching our children play. This can be a ‘tweener’;
somewhere between authentic and manufactured. Some of this experience can
be authentic happiness because you really love seeing your kids laugh while they
play. Their carefree innocence can be very inspiring. But parts of this can also be
manufactured. Are we truly happy because we enjoy watching them play? Or are
we happy because we “manufactured” a set of circumstances where they are
playing with their friends so we can have 10 minutes of quiet time? The question
is What was the Intention behind this created circumstance?
My test question to myself is always “Am I feeling relief or joy?” If I feel relieved,
I’m probably seeking a quick fix. I created this for a moment of silence. If my
answer is I can sit here and watch them all day, then I’m definitely embracing the
high frequencies of Happiness and joy running through my body. There’s generally
a tingling sensation running through the body. It feels like you do not want this
Moment to ever stop. Sometimes, it’s both. We started out with the intention of
silence but quickly turned into the joy of watching them play. Be honest. Be real.
Example #2: Humor. We often watch funny movies or crack jokes when we are
unhappy. Can this be manufactured? Absolutely. I am intentionally manufacturing
a set of circumstances to lift my Spirits. But my Intention is to shift my vibration
from a negative to the positive. That’s a good thing. Again, it’s about the true
Intention behind the action.
My test question to myself on this one is “Is this a pattern of mine?” If my answer
is yes, then I probably want to look at this a bit deeper. I remember I used to use
humor as my way to redirecting my anger except it’s never really redirected. My
feelings of dissatisfaction often turn into humor. Every time I do not resolve my
anger karma, I only push the timeline into the future. I realized my humor was
getting meaner and meaner simply because I was getting angrier on the inside.
The only way I knew how to let out that steam was to do something somewhat
appropriate in our society: With humor. I’d make fun of those I was not pleased
with rather than owning the fact I was angry. My humor seemed to always follow
anger in public situations where I couldn’t throw a fit. In this case, humor was
intended to cover up a true feeling, not to shift my energy. Since I’ve always
enjoyed being silly, I never noticed the subtle differences between my happy
humor and angry humor until I studied Happiness.
Becoming Aware of when and how we connect with our happy moments will
raises our core vibration. What we want in the Mind is not always consistent with
what we want in the Heart. When we are Aware, we can choose to do more of
what we like and less of what doesn’t feel good to us.
More mixed messages…Many participants tell me they are ready to rock the world
when they walked into my workshops. However, within minutes, we discovered
that they want Effortless manifestation. They can’t wait to experience a Happy
Life. However, they are not willing to make the necessary changes for Happiness.
Choosing can feel daunting when you never felt you had the option in the past.
The examples below are very normal and often unintentional. Bringing these
subconscious patterns to the surface is important when we want to shift our
vibration. Sounds intense? It can be for some people! But we get to the real core
obstacles immediately. We cannot make conscious decisions to change what we
don’t like if we are not aware what’s causing the dissatisfaction. That said, we aim
to provide a very safe environment for the participants in the workshop. You have
All I’m describing below are common subconscious patterns we are all familiar
with in one form or another. Our goal here is to bring them to the surface.
Release them. And replace them with Happy vibrations. This exercise is purely to
become Aware of our thoughts and actions; no more and no less.
A common pattern I see is being addicted to the daily dramas in life. After all, if
we live a happy life, we will have nothing to complain about anymore. Not only
will others stop feeling sorry for us, we would stop pitying ourselves. Self pity can
produce manufactured happiness. For a few moments, we feel the warm fuzzies
inside of us. But that quickly disappears and we are out to invite more drama into
our lives to create more temporary happiness.
You may say “Well, that’s just ridiculous. Who does that?” No one really chooses
drama consciously but we all do this sometimes subconsciously. These dramas are
often masked by really good Intentions. The key is to be aware of these behaviors
and practice snapping out of it when it happens. Guaranteed, if you start
becoming Aware, your life will shift instantly! It’s the Intention for a Happy life
that will help you change your life. Not empty meaningless actions you follow
from an instructional manual. Happiness requires Heart.
What I realized is that when I chased someone down and “forced” assistance on
them, I’m really feeding my own need for happiness. Even though it’s easily
masked with “helping mankind”, the fact is there was quite a bit of me that liked
to involve myself in others’ drama so I can offer them solutions. Offering solutions
increased my confidence. It gave me a reason to feel happy when I didn’t have a
fulfilling purpose. But it was manufactured happiness. As we learned,
manufactured happiness is short lived so I‘d constantly send out the vibration to
attract drama into my life for a quick fix.
Today, I find that the right balance for me is to share with people that I’m available
to assist. You can connect with me through my eBooks, workshops and the
Internet. I list my availabilities and leave plenty of room for “Me time”. However, I
never ever run after someone to assist nowadays. If they need help, they know
Drama can be an addiction. You can’t help someone unless they want to help
themselves. You may think it’s weird I’m comparing drama and chaos to a drug
addiction. However, it’s not much different. Our brain chemistry changes with the
same pattern. Addictions are addictions. It doesn’t matter what our “drug of
choice” is.
Another pattern I noticed is that humans often enjoy chaos. Sometimes we create
situations that are overly complicated and only we can figure out what to do.
People do this for many reasons. In my experience, we often do this to
demonstrate to the world how smart we are or how hard we work for what little
we have. It also gives us a brief Moment of superiority to prove our own
worthiness inside. We create chaotic situations only we can get out of. That boosts
manufactured confidence for a brief Moment. Again, this is a dose of
manufactured happiness at its finest work.
Sometimes, our unconscious Intention is to prevent more chaos in our lives. It’s a
way to stop someone from approaching us with their issues because our
subconscious mind is sending signals that we are tapped out. We feel depleted. I
remember doing this to my mom before I Awakened Consciously. I’d often tell her
how busy I was making money and running businesses. The truth was I didn’t have
a healthy relationship with my mom at the time and it was convenient to tell her
how chaotic my life was so that I didn’t have to listen to her. By constantly

pretending to be ‘busy’, I subconsciously created a lot of needless busy work for
myself. After all, I was never a liar and don’t plan on being one. So, I would create
the outward chaos so it’s all truthful to match the belief that “I’m not a liar” and I
really am busy.
I also remember when I first succeeded in real estate investing, it was unbelievable
how easy manifestation was. Of course, at the time, I didn’t understand my Gifts.
I was taught that money doesn’t come easy and that’s the belief I carried with me
subconsciously. In order to make sense of the belief that money doesn’t grow on
trees, I created a lot of tax and property issues to match my beliefs. The easy
manifestation accompanies a lot of manufactured drama and chaos. Looking back,
I created it all to prove how hard I worked for my money. When in reality it was
probably the simplest thing I’ve ever accomplished in my career.
As you can see, when I wasn’t aware of what I really wanted in my Heart, I’d create
a reality of mixed messages. I felt temporary alignment but the mixed messages
constantly came back in my life because ultimately, my actions were misaligned
with my deep desire to be Happy. What I learned from that was changing my
actions will never help me shift my vibration. But shifting my vibration will
automatically change the outcome effortlessly.
In these Awarenesses, our goal is to find out how the actions and thoughts are
mismatched with our beliefs so we can make the adjustments right for us. Where
there’s alignment, there’s Happiness.

7 Minutes of Happiness
Let’s take a look at how we can make your 7 minutes powerful and what to do
when your subconscious mind objects to your new commitment to Happiness.
The Power of doing something you love each day: In our ManifestOnDemand™
Programs, we share how everyone can shift their vibration and create what they
want in life effortlessly.
Once you reprogram your mind and body to automatically embrace all things
positive, your vibrational gauge has been recalibrated to a natural high of
Happiness. To create a new pattern, it usually takes about 21 days. Repetition
and constancy is important during recalibration.
And lastly, 7 is a lucky number, a safe number and a Happy number. There’s
something about 7 we all love no matter what Journey we are on. It carries a
natural Universal vibration of common global goodness.
What to do with your 7 minutes: There are 2 ways to commit to your Happiness
every day. The first option is to do one thing you enjoy every day, no matter how
long this activity takes. There’s no competition here. You can do anything you
want; easy or fancy. You can paint your nails or play basketball. You can give
yourself a foot-rub. You can pour yourself a hot cup of tea in a pretty cup or write
yourself a Thank-You note for all that you do and all that you are. The possibilities
are endless.
The point is you’re taking a few minutes a day to honor yourself and appreciate life.
Remember, it’s a marriage ceremony to Happiness. Simplicity makes the process
easy. You’re more likely to keep up with it. That said, if you like elaborate
weddings- please go all out. Have the biggest wedding every day to Happiness for
the next 21 days! Have a different wedding each day. Have fun with all this.
The second option is to spend 7 minutes a day doing what you love. It can be the
same thing every day or different things. It’d be really good if it’s at the same time
each day. This will help you shift the core vibration faster. However, it’s not
necessary to see results. Any dedication to yourself is good dedication, I say. So,
don’t worry about the details. It’s more important you do something for yourself
each day.

Either one you choose will work. I’d like to point out that this should be done
alone so there are no distractions; unless your desire is to join a group activity like
playing baseball or a yoga class. It’s your Gift to yourself each day. It’s your
commitment to what makes you Happy.
If you start this process and feel overwhelmed because you are a single parent
with 7 jobs and 10 kids, then give yourself the permission to only commit to 1
minute a day. Do not quit! Why? Because it makes you feel Happy! Make that
one minute count! Enjoy the 60 seconds with all your Heart. Be the happiest you
can be in that one minute.
Below is a list of ideas. Hopefully, this will help you trigger ideas of your own.
- Act like a fool; no judgment, just with tons of love for yourself
- Sit in silence/ meditate
- Paint your nails
- Rub your feet
- Play basketball
- Roam in the neighborhood on your motorcycle
- Listen to music you haven’t listen to in 20 years
- Dance like no one is watching
- Enjoy the sunset/ sunrise
- Read 3 pages in a book
- Study the colors in an image or artwork
As you commit to Happiness, your old pattern may surface. You will need to make
a conscious decision to commit to Happiness until a new pattern is formed or quit.
Remember, this transformational process usually takes about 21 days.
I have heard that old habits die hard. I say old habits can die pretty easily if you do
one thing- commit 7 minutes to yourself every day even when your brain tries to
distract you.
During your Transformation, your mind may give you plenty of objections and
excuses. The mind will want to convince you the old way is the better way. Our
human nature prefers familiarity and comfort. Any change can feel unsafe and
strange at first. If you really want to shift your core vibration, it is essential you
make this daily commitment to yourself no matter what! Consider the first few
days the Detox period.
If we are not yet calibrated to natural Happiness, we can shift our energy through
regular practice. This practice is simple. Every chance possible, choose Happiness.
One of the questions I ask a lot during coaching sessions is “Will this make you
Happy?” This one question works well when we have a hard time making
decisions. We are natural healers. When we are mad, everyone can sense it.
When we are happy, everyone can feel the strong energy too. We naturally exude
whatever energy that’s in our system. Our physical system is not capable of
“hiding” the energies we carry as well as non-healers. Keeping ourselves Happy is
a Must for our own well-being and those around us.
As far as I’m concerned, based on this theory, even the most depressed person
with a set point of 0% Happiness can shift their vibration to be a pretty darn Happy
person.
When my brain creates drama and chaos while I shift a pattern, I remind myself
that the average life span is about 70-75 years. That’s roughly 28,200 days. I
personally lived the first part of my life in the calibration of negative feelings. I
now choose to live in the calibration of Happiness and I will not accept anything
less. The 7 minutes I invest in myself each day is well worth the effort knowing I’m
living the rest of my life in peace, joy and abundance while attracting all things
positive. I’m even happier knowing that I will be carrying my Happiness karma into
future lives. Please know you have the power to Choose how you want to live in
this Lifetime and beyond!
For the most part, we are often frozen in fear when we are looking to shift into the
Happiness vibration. We want to have it all but we don’t believe we can have it all.
We think Happiness can be really good for us but we are not willing to trust it
comes with no conditions. Humans are creatures of habit. We find comfort in
routine. When we are unhappy, we are already feeling unsafe. I’m basically
asking you to suck it up and walk right into more fear with no guarantee of
outcome. That would be pretty nerve wracking, wouldn’t it?
Imagine being caged up all your life. You see the outside full of rainbows and
clouds. You imagine daily how you’d fly out of your cage like a bird if the door is
open. One day, the door magically opens. You stand there at the edge, looking up
and looking down. You’re frozen in fear because you’ve never tried to fly before,
even though you know you can. What if you fail? What if you hit the wall? What
if you don’t like it out there? Will this door still be open for me to come back to?
As I often remind the class participants, try it anyway. If you don’t like it, you can
go back to your old ways. No harm done. However, if you like the new lifestyle,
you have everything to gain plus more! As an Investor, that sounds like a pretty
good bet to me: limited downside and virtually infinite upside.
I also want to take a second and tell you that your subconscious mind doesn’t
know the difference between fear and excitement. That’s why sometimes when
you’re excited, there’s also a bit of fear kicking in. So, when you feel excited, it can
trigger many fearful thoughts and past karmic imprints. That said, use this
information to your advantage. When you feel fearful, tell yourself you’re actually
just feeling excited!
Common objections:
Objection #1: My kids still need me…
New perspective: Children are extremely self sufficient. What a great gift you’d
be giving them by setting an example to choose a Happy life? Kids learn from
their parents just like we learned from ours.
Objection #5: If I let this go, I will never get it back again…
New perspective: You can always get it back. You’re in control of your
Happiness. You can invite back negative outcomes just like you can invite in all
things positive. So, if the good things in life don’t work out for you. Go back to
the old routine. No harm done! It’s what works for you.
Objection #7: They are not carrying their responsibility, why should I?
New perspective: It really doesn’t matter what others do. It matters what I do
and how I treat myself. I choose to take charge of my destiny. I choose to
honor and love myself unconditionally. I choose to live in peace rather than
drama, chaos, and anger.
