PCTEST Engineering Laboratory, Associate Biomedical Engineer
Columbia, MD – December 2018 to Present
Worked intensively in a fast-paced laboratory environment using excellent communication and
analytical skills.
KEY STRENGTHS
• Lead Engineer on multiple projects in which strict deadlines needed to be met for both
regular and complex secret projects Communication skills
- Coordinated with a multitude of team members from different departments to organize Self-Motivated
data and assign what needed to be finished
Problem solver
- Provided technical oversight and offered input on each project
- Analyzed and gathered data for quality assurance with oversight Detail-oriented
- Developed deliverables for the client from documents to full reports
- Accepted responsibility and met each deadline and schedule throughout the process
• Reviewed other engineers reports for quality assurance following ISO 17025 standards
SPECIALITIES
• Worked with other engineers on new procedures and answered questions that might arise
Learns quickly
• Worked on difficult new technology introduced and debugged issues that came about
Adapts easily
University of Connecticut, Teaching Assistant Result oriented
Storrs, CT – August 2016 to May 2018
Successfully taught, reinforced and demonstrated complex concepts within three different
technical areas – Statics, Biomechanics and LabVIEW. Reinforced lectures, managed labs,
and communicated with professors, staff and students. Held office hours and responded to SKILLS
student requests for a diverse population including ESL and LD students. Responsible for
managing and posting grades. Honored with the unique opportunity of being the only ELISA
undergraduate working with this level of responsibility. In addition to these responsibilities for Tinius Olsen Testing
specific courses: Machine

BME 3120 – LabVIEW Hydroxyapatite

Spring 2017, Spring 2018, 115 students each semester Synthesis
Managed the computer lab for this required biomedical engineering course that teaches Polymer Synthesis
use of LabVIEW and data acquisition important for testing materials. Proctored exams
Drug Delivery Synthesis
with professor during testing periods; graded exams and homework assignments. As a
trusted assistant, handled professor’s work overload as necessary

BME 3600 – Biomechanics

Fall 2017, 17 students SOFTWARE
Independently ran the lab portion of this required biomedical engineering course that LabVIEW
teaches how to examine the mechanical behavior of biological tissues, how to obtain
data from Tinius Olsen Testing Machine and how to determine ultimate stress, fracture SolidWorks
stress, plastic deformation, yield strength, and elastic modulus.
Minitab
• Chosen and trusted over the others to set up the lab
SEMCAD
• Worked with professor to alter lab protocols and problem-solving strategies to
obtain the results when sensors were not working Ansys
• Supported the ABET accreditation and audit process by filing necessary paperwork National Instrument
for the biomedical engineering program Vision Assistant
• Based on personal skills, requested to manage other lab sections Working Model 2D
• Taught and demonstrated use of Ansys to examine nominal stress and shear of a AnyBody Technologies
blood vessel. This helped to demonstrate the lab portion with stress and strain of
aorta vessel under pressure using computer software. Weibull Analysis
Microsoft Office Suite
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Research Assistant
Boston, MA – June 2017 to August 2017 Design Skills
Worked in a laboratory environment using excellent communication and organization skills.
PROFESSIONAL
• Analyzed patient samples for various growth factors or cytokines through immunoassay MEMBERSHIPS
testing, specifically PLGF (placental growth factor) and VEGF (vascular endothelial growth
factor) in serums to examine risk of preeclampsia Biomedical Engineering
- Processed samples using ELISA, micro-pipetting, and spectrometer Society, 2014 to Present
- Extrapolated results Honor Fraternity, Alpha
- Communicated results with Investigator Lambda Delta, 2014 to
- Collaborated with doctors to further examine data to run new tests if necessary 2018

• Created procedures to dilute serums if the sample did not fall within the control range as Lion’s Club, Member
the values of pg/ml were not able to be extrapolated 2015 to 2016
• Independently created a model to examine the shear stress of blood on the arterial walls
of rats to examine how to shear stress affects preeclampsia; model can be used by
investigator for later research/papers
Independently ran the lab for two weeks without supervision
