My name is Kerem. I live in Turkey and I study at Ankara High School. But it’s July,
and I’m not at high school now. In fact, I’m not in Turkey. I’m in Brighton, in the
UK! I’m here for three weeks.
I’m studying English at the Ocean Summer School in Brighton. My parents aren’t
here – I’m living with a family in Brighton. They can’t speak Turkish, so I speak
English all the time!
Every morning I go to school by bus. We study English grammar and we learn new
vocabulary every day. Sometimes we listen to English radio programmes, and
then we discuss them with the teacher. It’s fun!
We don’t have any homework, so we’re free in the evenings. I sometimes watch
TV, but everyone speaks very quickly, so it isn’t easy to understand. I prefer to
chat with the family. My English is improving!
