Our community call on combating anti-Blackness in immigrant communities is TOMORROW!

If
you haven’t already RSVP’d, now is your chance:
JOIN THE DISCUSSION

I’ll be one of the featured speakers and will be joined by Patrice Lawrence, the co-director of the
UndocuBlack Network. Originally from Jamaica, Patrice’s goal is to transform the realities of Black
undocumented people so they live their fullest lives. Check out the rest of the folks joining us
below:
We know that the mechanisms built to target, jail, and deport immigrants are rooted in and
function in collaboration with the systems of anti-blackness and white supremacy. Enforcement
agencies like the police, ICE and CBP are both rooted in white supremacy and systematic racism.
Organizing to defund these law enforcement agencies is one way we can achieve our collective
liberation — but we also need to acknowledge that racism and anti-blackness is normalized
within non-Black communities.

Once we start identifying and addressing the harmful anti-Black thoughts and practices we’ve
grown up with, we can begin to love ourselves and one another more deeply, fight back against
white supremacy, and proudly stand for the dignity of all Black lives.

That’s why Patrice and I, along with other amazing speakers, are coming together to share our
experiences and hear from you - so make sure you don’t forget to sign up, mark your calendars,
and join us tomorrow!

And of course, don’t forget to spread the word to your social network so more folks can join in:
