Listen and watch the videos about reading comprehension activity and explain 10 tips to increase

this skill

1. Reading between the lines: Readers should read between the lines and draw conclusions

or inferences from what they are reading.

2. Draw conclusions: they must be drawn from a single statement and be aware of the context

and tone of the text.

3. New terms: to enrich the vocabulary, the unknown words that we find in each text must

be taken into account

4. Simple texts: Start with writing that you can follow without difficulty and that is

interesting. When reading a text in English, even if you do not understand all the words,

you should try to follow the thread to identify the general idea of the text.

5. Improve fluency: Reading comprehension becomes more difficult when reading word for

word, therefore, to improve comprehension it is important to improve fluency and read

complete sentences.

6. Make Connections: that is, make connections from your experiences and knowledge with

other texts you have read and with your environment.

7. Retelling: To make the text understandable, the reader can make a description in their

own words of the important parts, always identifying the main idea.
8. Asking Questions: As a reading strategy, the reader asks questions before, during and

after reading. The questions promote interest and analysis, in addition to generating an

investigative spirit to solve your questions.

he will want to confirm if his predictions are true, so he will read the text completely, it

will be a fun activity that will facilitate understanding.

the story in order will help the reader understand and the teacher would check to see if
