GUIDANCE FOR SCHOOLS IN THE CONDUCT OF CLASSES FOR SY: '2O2O-2O21

l The guidance for schools in the conduct of classes for School Year (SY) 2020-
2O2l has been prepared by the regional ofhce as suggestive activities by using
differrnt alternative modalities in the teaching-learning process. Since the school
opening will not necessarily mean traditional face-to-face learning in classroom, the
physical opening will depend on the risk severity grading or cl,assification of a
locality, pursuant to guidelines of the Department of Health (DOH), the lnter-Agency
Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases in the Philippines
(IATF) or the Olhce of the President (OP).

2. The objectives of this guidance on online learning/ emergency remote teaching

are to:
a. Provide teachers tl:e information in managing online learning;
b. Explain the dilferent Ieaming options:
c. Identi!' the b,pe /modality/ approach/ strates/ in learning; and
d. Suggest platforms/resources/mechanisms in the delivery of leaming.
3. The guidance for teachers in the use of online learning/ emergency remote
teaching can be downloaded in the link at https://bit.ly/ l3modalities for them to
apply in their classes starting August 24,2O2O and will end on April 30, 2O21. T}re
teachers can print the said materials using t]le Maintenance and Other Operating
Expenses (MOOE) budget.
