QRH (or approved equivalent) should be used as a reference when completing pictorial “walk-around”
slides. Pilot should describe what is required to be checked on each step (do list item) without evaluator
prompting. The details below include what is required (minimum) as well as additional items the evaluator
may ask. Discrepancies shall be annotated in the Maintenance LOG.
MAIN ENTRANCE
Oxygen bottle pressure and valve .............................................. Checked – Open

COCKPIT

• Although not checked until Power ON, ask about testing newer EROS mask (M2799):
• TEST/RESET Lever – Push once; Blinker (just above lever) turns yellow, then black. If it remains
yellow, there is a leak.
• TEST/RESET Lever – Push and hold while simultaneously pressing and holding the EMERGENCY
knob (PRESS TO TEST) for 1 sec; Blinker (just above lever) turns yellow, then black.
Fire extinguishers ................................................................... Installed – Checked
• (FAR 91.513) 1 must be near flight deck and 1 conveniently located in pax compartment (if airplane
can accommodate more than 6 but less than 31 pax).
• Must have inspection, be serviceable (i.e. pressure gauge in the “green”), secured (i.e. in its proper
