Glycolic Peels are also offered at Allure. A glycolic peel can help
reverse the signs of damaged skin by increasing the skin’s renewal
process. It is recommended that you have a peel every 7-10 days
for six weeks for maximum results. These peels are quick and
easy with no down time.

Dr. Evans and Dr. Schermerhorn perform a new technique in

liposuction called Tumescent Liposuction. This technique is safer
than traditional liposuction. It enables the client to be awake and
aware of their procedure. Areas of excess fat are injected with an
anesthetic liquid before liposuction is performed. The liquid causes
the compartments of fat to become swollen and firm or
“tumesced.” The expanded fat compartments allow the cannula
to travel smoothly beneath the skin as the fat is removed. The
long-acting effects of the anesthetic solution help to provide pain
relief after the procedure. It also helps to decrease the need for
additional pain medication.

Finance, Money & Internet Scams are Everywhere.

When shopping for online work at home, which home based
businesses are real? It sounds like a straightforward question
with a straightforward answer: just use common sense. But hold
on a second. Not so fast. Do you think you can separate the
scams from the legitimates? Have you seen all the various home

O.K. Sure. If someone is offering you the Brooklyn Bridge for

$1.99—It’s a scam. But beyond that, how can you tell? These
job opportunities are often counter-intuitive. What seems “too
good to be true” is often real, and the legitimate-seeming
businesses are a scam. But most people don’t have the time or
money to check them out.
I’ve spent the past five years researching and actually
implementing many of these money making schemes on the
internet, the ones most people tend to dismiss out-of-hand. And
that’s the problem. Most people dismiss them first, without
giving a serious second thought to them. They think they know.
But they don’t. It’s not as straightforward as people first assume.

Here I’ve compiled four rules to keep in mind when shopping

Vision
Inspiration

The of Dr. Emma

By Lisa Parrott

r. Emma J. Terrell has been happily

married to her husband Howard for
almost forty-six years. Emma and
Howard have three children, Angelia,
Theresa, and Howard, Jr. In 1988 Dr.
Terrell had a ‘Vision’ from the Lord to
begin a ministry. In that vision, she says
the Lord was telling her He wanted her
to concentrate on praise and worship
in her ministry. She began her ministry
of ‘God has declared a new thing!’ and the nondenominational
church, The New Beginner’s, was founded in the back room of
her home that was called the blue room. With just herself, she
ministered as if she had a full congregation and soon after, family
members and friends began to come to hear Dr. Terrell teach the
word of God. During this time, she also began to study for her
doctorate in Theology from Truth Bible College in Florida, which
she received in 2005.

The ‘blue room’ quickly became too small for all of the people Dr. Emma J. Terrell
that came to hear Dr. Emma as she has come to be known
throughout the community. Putting her faith and trust in God, she
was led to the Forest Hill Recreation Center where she rented a
room that would accommodate her growing congregation for
services on Sunday; but she continued to have Bible studies in the
‘blue room’ of her home. One year after making the move, Dr.
Emma was faced yet again with the need for a bigger space for
her congregation. She again was led to a space that was large
enough for her congregation, but also allowed room to grow.

Within two years, Dr. Emma knew they were going to have to
move again. Following the promptings of the Lord, she was led to
Whitsett, where sixteen acres of land were for sell. There were
others that were interested, but Dr. Emma kept her faith and
eventually acquired the land which is the current home of The
New Beginner’s Church that has grown to a congregation of
approximately three hundred and will seat up to six hundred fifty
members.

In 1991, Dr. Emma also founded The Center of Healing located in

Gibsonville. The center is a non-profit organization supporting
the underprivileged and needs of the community. Also at this
location is The Center of Joy Day Care/After School facility that
opened in 1998.

Dr. Emma just recently celebrated her 19th anniversary as Pastor

of The New Beginner’s and as her congregation continues to grow
(there are plans in the works to build the International Faith Dome),
she puts her faith and trust in the Lord to guide her in the right
direction as the ‘Vision’ of her ministry continues to be fulfilled.

You should always be informed and the
staff of Burlington Imaging is there to help.

Burlington Imaging recently implemented digital mammography

and is now a completely digital facility. This makes it a more
efficient facility where they strive for a 24-hour report
turnaround that enables doctors and patients to receive quicker
results. Burlington Imaging provides services to patients such
as Ultrasound, Bone Density Tests, MRI, Mammograms, CAT
Scans and general X-Ray.

When faced with the prospect of having one of these procedures,

do you really know what it is and how it will work? The
technologists with Burlington Imaging care about answering
your questions and want to help put you at ease.

Ultrasound, best known for use during pregnancy, can also be

used to aid doctors in other diagnoses as well. An Ultrasound
utilizes sound waves; there is no radiation involved. Waves go
into the body, reflect off of organs and in turn are converted
into an image aiding the doctors in their diagnoses. A uses a small dose of radiation to make pictures of the inside of

Bone Density tests for osteoporosis. This test measures for bone
loss in the lower back and hips. These are the stressor points in
the body where one actually has bone loss first. The machine
scans the lower back and hip and measures certain areas. The
patient’s score is given and the radiologist interprets the score
for bone loss.

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) utilizes radio frequency

waves and a magnetic field rather than radiation to image organs
and tissues. Our bodies contain water molecules with magnetic
properties. These molecules are scattered throughout our body
and once the machine turns on, we become magnetized with all
of the positive molecules being pulled inline. When the machine
is turned off, these molecules return to a resting state, sending
out radio frequencies, enabling the computer to take a series of
images. MRI is much better at seeing soft tissues and it is a
very sensitive test for spine and joint problems.

A CT scan, also known as CAT scan, uses special x-ray

equipment to acquire multiple images (scans) of the inside of
the body. CT scans of the internal organs, bones, soft tissues
and blood vessels provide a more in-depth view than a
conventional x-ray.

An x-ray is a painless medical test that helps in the diagnosis

and treatment of medical problems such as bone fractures,
dislocations and degenerative diseases such as arthritis. X-ray
