This manual contains illustrated parts lists to help you select quality American
Augers replacement parts for your equipment. Using other replacement parts will
lessen the productivity of your equipment.
•Description and specifications in this book were current at publication. However,

American Augers reserves the right to improve equipment, so this manual might
not reflect the most current improvements.
•Parts may be hidden on drawings for clarity.
•Instructions on recommended equipment use and maintenance are in the Oper-

ator’s Manual that was shipped with your equipment.
Keep the following in mind when ordering American Augers replacement parts:
• Specify parts you need by part number and description, not by illustration refer-
ence numbers.
•Have equipment model and serial number on hand to help ensure you get the
right parts for your machine whether it’s old or new.

PARTS MANUAL PARTS WARRANTY STATEMENT
Service Parts Warranty
American Augers After-Market Parts Warranty
American Augers provides After-Market Parts Warranty to the original retail purchaser or subsequent owners
during the warranty period. The American Augers Service Parts Warranty assures that its products are free
from defects in material or workmanship. The Warranty Period starts at the time the part is sold. Subject to
the limitation and exclusions herein, a free replacement part will be provided by American Augers due to
defect in material or workmanship.
After-Market Part Warranty Coverage

Product Warranty Period
--All New American Augers Parts --6 months, unlimited hours
EXCLUSIONS FROM AFTER-MARKET PARTS WARRANTY

• Parts replacement due to wear or normal maintenance. Wearable parts include, but are not limited to, fil-
ters, belts, bearings, cam followers, die inserts, die holders, sprockets, brakes, rollers, drive sprockets,
drilling pipe, drilling bits, auger sections, auger boring heads, adapters, couplers, crossover subs, back-
reamer, mud swivels and pullback swivels.
• All incidental or consequential damages.
• All defects, damages, or injuries caused by abuse, misuse, improper installation, alteration, neglect, or
uses other than those for which products were intended.
• All defects, damages, or injuries caused by improper training, operation, or servicing of products in a
manner conflicting with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
• All engines and engine accessories, starters, fuel injectors, injection pumps also tires, batteries, hydrau-
lic components and other parts which are subject to another manufacturer’s warranty. (These are cov-
ered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. Such warranty information will be available to purchaser.)
Customers Responsibility
The American Augers parts warranty remains in effect during the warranty period if the owner performs the
required maintenance at the recommended intervals listed in the operator’s manual. A receipt or copy of the
original sales order showing when the new or remanufactured part American Augers part was purchased
should be kept for reference. Any defective part will be determined by an inspection within thirty (30) days of
the date of failure of the part by American Augers, Inc. or its authorized dealer. American Augers, Inc. will
make available the location of its inspection facilities or it’s nearest authorized dealer upon analysis. Ameri-
can Augers, Inc. reserves the right to supply remanufactured replacement parts under this warranty as it
deems fitting.
Limitations and Exclusions

American Augers makes no other representations or warranties, expressed or implied and specifically
excludes the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for particular purpose. The disclaimer of
implied warranties shall not apply to the extent such disclaimers are not allowed by applicable state or pro-
vincial law. American Augers will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages of any kind.

Note: Refer to manufacturer when adding or changing biodegradable hydraulic oils. Not recom-
mended for operation in zero degree weather.
Biodegradable hydraulic oil is intended for use in environmentally sensitive areas. It is considered
non-toxic in case of accidental spill. Although American Augers’ biodegradable hydraulic oil is com-
patible with ordinary mineral based oils, you should not use ordinary hydraulic oil to refill the hydraulic
system. Contamination by ordinary oil may destroy biodegradability.
It is not considered practical to flush and clean the hydraulic system for continued use of biodegrad-
able oil after contamination with mineral based oils. Once mineral based oil has been used you should
switch to mineral based oil from then on.
There are several types of biodegradable oils available. However, they may not be compatible with
American Augers machines. For replacement, use American Augers supplied biodegradable oils. Bio-
degradable oil is not as widely available as mineral based oil. In the event you have to purchase
American Augers specified biodegradable oil locally allow for extra time to locate a dealer.
The biodegradable oil in your American Augers machine should be tested for viscosity every 500
hours or 6 months, whichever occurs first.
Biodegradable oil requires special cold weather handling. If the oil is exposed to temperatures of 0°F
(-18°C) or below, you should not operate the machine until the oil has been warmed above 0°F. For
machine operation in low temperatures, the use of a hydraulic tank heater is recommended. Oil which
has been stored in low temperatures should be warmed before use.
Hydraulic system hoses, seals and gaskets exposed to biodegradable oil should be a Viton or Buna-
N material with a 25% nitrile level.

Water quality is important to the performance of the cooling system. Use distilled, deionized or demin-
eralized water when mixing coolant concentrate. All water used in the cooling system should meet
these minimum specifications:

Use propylene glycol that is rated for RVs. Do not use motor vehicle rated antifreeze.
