INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The Kipipiri National Government Constituency Development Fund Committee (NG-CDFC) is


seeking for applications from qualified, experienced, dynamic and highly motivated candidates to fill
the following positions in its office based at Miharati:

1. INTERN ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT - ADVERT NO. 2/IAA/2020(1 POST)


The intern Accounts Assistant at the NG-CDF office will be responsible to the Fund Account Manager (FAM)
for the following duties: -
 Assist in Preparation of NG-CDFC payment vouchers.
 Assist in Maintaining a duplicate Vote Book and other accounting books and records.
 Assist in receiving and filing financial returns from Project Management Committee (PMCs).
 Analyze PMC returns vis-à-vis work plans and budgets and advise the FAM on subsequent release of funds
to PMCs.
 Maintain the stores ledger register and S13.
 Assist in compilation of monthly expenditure returns and bank reconciliation statements for submission to
the NG-CDF Board.
 Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the FAM.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT:-


For appointment to this Internship position, a candidate should have;
 A minimum of Grade C (plain) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) from a recognized
institution.
 A minimum of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Part 1 or its equivalent.
 Computer knowledge in word processor and spreadsheets.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPENTENCIES:
To be considered in the above mentioned internship position, the applicant must also be in possession of the
following qualifications:-
 Be a Kenyan citizen
 Be of high integrity and with no criminal record and hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the
Kenya Police.
 Competent in oral and written presentation both in English and Kiswahili.
 Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership and integrity.
 Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
 Good interpersonal skills.

2. INTERN PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT - ADVERT NO. 3/IPA/2020


(1 POST)
The Intern Procurement Assistant at the NG-CDF office will be responsible to the Fund Account
Manager (FAM) for the following duties:
 Assist the procurement officer in general management of the supply chain. For instance in raising
quotations, analyzing quotations, preparing tender documents. e.t.c.
 Assist in implementation of approved procurement plan.
 Updating the procurement Status report.
 Assist in maintaining PMC files’ records
 Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the FAM.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT:-
For appointment to this Internship position, a candidate should have:
 A minimum of C+ (plus) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education
 A degree in Procurement, purchasing and supply chain Management.
 Computer knowledge in word processor and spreadsheets.

To be considered in the above mentioned internship positions, the applicant must also be in possession
of the following qualifications:-
 Be a Kenyan citizen

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE:
The successful interns will be earning a reasonable monthly stipend.
The intern will be responsible to the NG-CDFC through the Fund Account Manager.
