New Delhi, January 13, 2010: The Solar Future: India 2011, the debut two-day int
ernational solar/PV conference organized by SOLARPLAZA, a leading international
knowledge platform and event organizers in Solar in association with Solar Energ
y Society of India (SESI), is focusing on charting a clear path for India to bec
ome a Solar Superpower. Elevating the event from another industry get together t
o being one that will bring in a unique mixture of international experts, key po
licy decision makers at the state and central governments and the who’s who of Ind
ian solar industry to discuss and input on this vision. To be held over the 24th
and 25th of January at The Grand, New Delhi, the conference is the first of the
major initiatives planned by SOLARPLAZA for the Indian market.

n’s energy being most predictable and available in abundance here”.
Top speakers at the event include; Debashish Majumdar – the Chairman and Managing
Director of the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), Mario Zen Vi
ce President of LDK Solar, the world’s largest vertically integrated manufacturer
and Jigar Shah, visionary solar expert and founder of SunEdison and now CEO of t
he Carbon War Room’. Other experts scheduled to speak at the event include S.K. S
hakula, the Head Solar and Director of the Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy D
evelopment Agency (CREDA), AES Solar Energy Managing Director Srinivas Nagabhira
va, KfW Bank Project Manager Ramana Reddy, M.M. Vijayvargiya the Technical Direc
tor of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation (RREC), V.H. Buch Director of the
Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA), Orb Energy CEO Damian Miller, Photon E
nergy CEO Gautham Nalamada and Pashupathy Gopalan, the Head of Indian Operations
for SunEdison and MEMC among others.
