Chakras and Auras I

Class Three: The Sacral Chakra

In the last class we discussed the chakra that is governing most of our needs, but what of our
wants? That is part of what we will discuss in this class. The sacral chakra, which is the second
of the seven major chakras, will be what we focus on. We will also work with our aura a bit more
to help develop a level of understanding of it as well. The work that I will be doing with this
course about the aura is how to make it stronger and give you more control over it.

This is going forward with the goal of this level of study and that is knowing thyself. It is
imperative in our growth and studies that we spend ample time looking at ourselves and getting
to know who and what we really are. If we are to ever understand our purpose in this plane of
existence we must first understand this fact. So throughout this course and the Meditation and
Visualization course I will be giving you tools to use to learn just that. So let us begin.

Sacral Chakra

The Sacral Chakra is where we begin to develop our emotions and the level that we begin
connecting with others on. This chakra is one of the most commonly misunderstood as well as
confused with the Navel chakra. The reason for this is because the two chakra are so closely
linked that one cannot perform its duties without the other. Your wants develop here but your
desire to fulfill these wants is what the Navel Chakra is there for. But enough of the Navel I will
discuss it more in the next class. Let us focus on the Sacral.

Sacral is a good word for this chakra because it is so close to the word Sacred. The Sacral chakra
is what governs those things that many of us consider sacred within ourselves. This chakra is the
staple of our sexuality, intimacy, relationship and emotions. It is the chakra that governs how
receptive to other people we are and how sexual we are. This is also a chakra that governs our
desire to reproduce, not our need to, but our desire to.

This chakra is closely tied to our personality and how others perceive us. This chakra is on a very
basic level because it is so deep within us that these emotions and feelings come. This chakra is
one that ties not only to the Navel, but also to the Heart and Root chakra as well. This chakra
need the other chakras in order to convey its energies to ourselves and to others around us. This
is a very needy chakra. How cold or warm we are in our nature is something that this chakra
begins to determine, but this job is finished by other chakras.

At this chakra you can see how each chakra is tied to the others to form a perfect chain within
our body towards completion. Each chakra offers energy to the chain, and the chain is only as
strong as the weakest link. This goes back to the discussion of strength, and how it takes strength
in body, mind and soul to be strong. What does this have to do with energy centers? The energy
centers are tied to the soul primarily, yes, however, the energy they carry also offers energy to the
mind and body. When these energies are empowered and harmonized you will find yourself in a
much more healthy state of being. There are natural fail-safes put in our bodies to keep us well
and in good health, the chakras are one of these.
For instance, it is believed that if you have good energy through your root chakra you will be less
likely to fall prey to anxiety and dyslexia. For the Sacral Chakra it is said that this chakra helps
you fend off the common cold. What I do know is that the higher your energy vibration the less
likely you are to get sick or the less likely your body does not function properly when you desire
it to, going back to Tibetan monks that were said to still be able to perform all their bodily
functions even at the age of 80. Something for all of us to think about now is it not?

The color of this chakra is orange, and those of you that know the symbology behind the various
colors know that this is often tied to creativity and sensuality. This holds true for this chakra as
well. The location of this chakra is just below the navel where the stomach and the pelvis come
together, thus why it is also sometimes called the spleen chakra. Where the Root chakra is tied to
the sense of smell, the Sacral is tied to the sense of taste. You can also play forth with that
comment to use as a way to remember what this chakra means, the things you want you have a
taste for. The things you like, your taste in clothes, men or women, or even your taste in liquor.

This chakra ties in with the Aura in the feeling of warmth or coldness that your aura conveys.
This chakra is probably one of the most dominate chakra present in the aura. It governs the
presence that your aura conveys. You have these people that you are around that just have such
an energetic aura; it just feels warm and safe around them. That is because of this chakra being
very bright and powerful.

Exercise Three: Empowering your Aura

This exercise I talk about a bit in the Flow of Energy course. It is a way to draw in energy to
allow it to flow out into your aura to empower it. It is called the Tree of Life stance, you can also
find it in the Meditation and Visualization course so I do not feel the need to repeat it yet again
here. What I will go over here however is how to apply it to empowering your aura.

Once you have pulled in enough energy that has aligned your chakras and cleansed your body of
negative energy. You pull in more and more energy focusing the energy within you until your
body cannot house anymore energy. At this point you allow the pores of your body to excrete this
energy and allow it to filter into the aura. Feel your aura become more filled with energy as the
process continues. Once you have quite a bit of energy in your aura, then close your fists cutting
off the flow of energy into your body.

Focus then on the energy within you and around you. Focus on it within your mind until you can
see it and feel it all around you. Using your own energy concentrate this energy charging your
aura with this energy and flex the aura. This stretches the aura. If you continually perform this
exercise you will increase the size and intensity of your aura as well as empower and balance
your chakra. This exercise is absolutely vital to the contents of this course. Now a few questions
and we will be all finished here.
