A Celebration of Sacramental Grace

A Thanksgiving for 5 Confirmations, 3 Weddings & 1 Faith

-S. Eloisa Marie C. Inocentes, RVM

The formative journey of the ICLH-Espana Sisters with their lay-personnel brought about much
reason for thanksgiving. On the 2 nd Sunday of Easter, four of the ICLH family members were
accompanied by the Sisters as they were fully initiated to the Roman Catholic Church at the historic
National Shrine of Saint Michael and the Archangels near the presidential Malacanang Complex.
Together with the Church-full of fellow adult confirmees, ICLH lay personnel Jerwin Ceniza, Genafe
Pateno and extended family of ICLH Jenelyn Besierto Argete and Jadmark Obina, they were confirmed
by Fr. Genaro Diwa, parish priest of the National Shrine of St. Michael and the Archangels who has been
given the special faculty to confirm. ICLH Lay personnel, Teodoro Lapuz was confirmed a week later. Full
support was shown by the other ICLH Lay-personnel as they joined the Sisters in accompanying and
sponsoring the newly confirmed on that special day.

On June 25, love abounded three times over as the ICLH family in partnership with the
Santissimo Rosario Parish celebrated the Marriage of Jerwin Ceniza to Janaelma Clado Ceniza, Roger
Argete to Jenelyn Besierto Argete, Mary Jane Obina to Jadmark Obina. In commemoration of its
diamond jubilee, the Santissimo Rosario Parish was to sponsor a kasalan ng bayan and it was timely that
three of the lay personnel of ICLH together with their partners were graced with the Marian spirit of
openness and willingly allowed themselves to be journeyed with and undergo formation in preparation
for their marriage in the Church, thus joining their lives as witnessed and blessed by the parish priest,
Rev. Fr. Louie Coronel, OP. It seemingly turned out to be a kasalan ng bayan solely for the ICLH
community since the three couples from ICLH were the only ones from the parish who were, by the
grace of God, able to signify and comply to all mandatory preparations for the Church wedding. The
respective and extended families of the newlyweds joined the celebration with the ICLH Sisters and
friends. Truly the gift of faith united the ICLH family, giving them a good deal for praise and thanksgiving.
