On 01/07/2011, Deputies assigned to Ypsilanti Township responded to the 1000 block of Lexington Parkway (South
of East Clark Road) for a burglary complaint. The Deputies discovered the suspect(s) smashed out a window and
crawled through to gain entry. The time of occurrence was between 8:45AM through 2:08 PM on 01/07/2011.
Unknown on what was taken at this time. There is no suspect information.

On 01/07/2011, Deputies assigned to Ypsilanti Township responded to the 600 block of Lynne Avenue (South of
East Forest Avenue) for a burglary of a detached garage complaint. The Deputies discovered the suspect(s) opened
an unlocked door to gain entry. The time of occurrence was between 7:30 PM through 9:00 PM on 01/06/2011. A
snow blower was taken. There is no suspect information.

FELONIOUS ASSAULT 11-1062

On 01/07/2011, Deputies assigned to Ypsilanti Township responded to the 2000 block of Grove Road (West of
McCartney Avenue) for a shots fired complaint. The Deputies discovered a fight occurred in the parking lot and two
victims had been shot. The two victims were transported to St Joseph Mercy Hospital with non-life threatening
injuries. The time of occurrence was at 7:19 PM on 01/07/2011. The suspect information is listed below.
Suspect-Black Male 20 years old 5’6” 160 light complexion/last seen wearing a blue coat, light blue hat and
baggy blue jeans

(East of Holmes Road) for a burglary complaint. The Deputies discovered the suspect(s) shattered a side window to
gain entry. The time of occurrence was between 3:00 PM on 01/07/2011 through 2:20 AM on 01/08/2011. An
unknown amount of cash was taken. There is no suspect information.

RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE 11-1134

On 01/08/2011, Deputies assigned to Scio Township responded to the 5000 block of Jackson Road (East of Zeeb
Road) for a suspicious vehicle complaint. The Deputies discovered a vehicle that was unoccupied and running in the
parking lot. The Deputies determined the vehicle was reported stolen out of Warren Police Department. The time of
occurrence was at 4:15 AM on 01/08/2011. The vehicle was turned over to the Warren Police Department. There is
no suspect information at this time.

On 01/08/2011, Deputies assigned to Scio Township responded to the 5000 block of Jackson Road (West of Myrtle
Avenue) for a burglary complaint. The Deputies discovered the suspect(s) shattered a window on the rear door to
gain entry. The time of occurrence was between 3:00 PM on 01/07/2011 through 4:15 AM on 01/08/2011. A
mountain bike and a bottle of wine were taken. There is no suspect information.

HOME INVASION/SHOTS FIRED 11-1355

On 01/09/2011, Deputies assigned to Ypsilanti Township responded to the 700 block of Calder Avenue (south of
Seneca Street) for a home invasion and shots fired that had just occurred. The Deputies discovered the two suspects
(listed below) forced open the front door. Suspect 1 entered the residence, Suspect 2 remained outside on the steps,
and ordered everyone to the ground. Suspect 1 grabbed a female resident by the hair and dragged her to the front
door. Suspect 1 pointed a handgun at the female’s head and yelled to Suspect 2.

A male resident of the residence had grabbed several children, who were in the residence, and ran to a rear bedroom.
The male resident opened a window, to get the children out of the residence, and saw Suspect 2 holding a gun.
Suspect 2 pointed it at the male resident and began firing into the residence. The male resident grabbed the children
and covered them up on the floor.

Suspect 1 ran out the front door and fled the scene. Suspect 2 also fled the scene after firing five shots into the
residence.

No one was hit by the gunfire inside the residence. The female resident refused medical attention from being pulled
by her hair.

The suspect descriptions are listed below:


S1 - described as a light skinned black male, medium height wearing a gray jacket and red ski mask. He
made entry into the home and was reportedly armed with a black handgun.
S2 - described as a light skinned, heavy set black male wearing a black jacket and also wearing a red ski
mask. He was reportedly armed with a chrome revolver and is possibly the shooter.

Arrest Information

On 01/07/2011, Deputies assigned to Superior Township were at Ridge Road near Mott Road when they noticed a
suspicious person walking in the roadway. The Deputies contacted the subject and determined she was wanted on
several outstanding warrants. The subject was arrested without incident and transported to the County Jail.

11-1060 CCW
On 01/07/2011, Deputies assigned to Superior Township stopped a vehicle on Wiard Boulevard and Russett Road.
The Deputies contacted the driver and determined he was in possession of an AK-47 assault rifle, which had the
serial number altered/removed. The subject, a nineteen year-old Superior Township resident and current felon, was
arrested without incident and transported to the County Jail. The case will be turned over to the Washtenaw County
Prosecutor’s Officer for review of criminal charges.

disorderly person complaint. The Deputies contacted a subject and determined she was wanted on several
outstanding warrants. The subject was arrested without incident and transported to the County Jail.
