Is particular fashion important today?

Fashion is probably the most important thing for today’s youth. The youth always worried about
how they look when they go to school or go out. They don’t want to look silly in front of their
friends, and therefore end up spending a lot of money on their clothes and want to make sure
they try and avoid repeating their clothes. Fashion these days, play a very important role in
people’s lives and have a huge impact as well.
Fashion is important because it can open our mind and change beauty standards of our society.
Fashion evolves with our world and reacts to our current history and to our constant
globalization.
Fashion has a big effect on the lives of people along with society as a whole by defining style
and culture. Fashion also plays a part in how people see themselves. Fashion is just one part of
what defines a culture. Each area of the world has a different style of dress, and it often portrays
the customs of values of the religion, culture or country in question.
Fashion also contributes to a person's confidence and self-esteem on a daily basis. As a way to
express personality and style, fashion plays a role in the lives of most people since it helps them
fit in or stand out from the crowd. Fashion also effects people through the media. Media
influences choices and feelings towards certain fashion trends, which, in turn, encourages
purchasing certain items and specific styles.
Fashion style is important. You clothes make your fashion statement, and how you’re perceived.
Stand straight and carry yourself with grace. You will radiate self confidence. For many years
people have put some message in the way they dress. Some dressed differently to stand out of the
crowd which became very popular and others followed. Clothing has become an integral part of
self-realization of every person. This necessity brings a lot of variety into the lives of people and
makes their image more complete.
”Fashion is an art. It’s a religion. It’s a job. It’s a peek into a personality. It’s playfulness. It’s an
escape or a disguise. It is a feast for the eyes. But ultimately, fashion is an individual statement
of expression for each of us.” (Wendy Maxey). Fashion is very important in our everyday lives.
Now days we would like to think that we can tell a lot about a person by the way they dress, but
that might not always be the case. You may not notice this but people now days observe you and
look at what you are wearing and judge you according to how you dress. “Fashion is not
something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with
ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” (Coco Chanel). Fashion isn’t defined solely by our
clothing choices, but is also conveyed through the way we carry ourselves, our personalities and
our views of the world. Fashion is everything from the way you wear your hair, to the
accessories, to the shoes you wear, to the clothes, to the designs and the way you carry off all of
these combined. When you dress for work, you dress for the job you want to have not the one
you have. This shows that you are willing to go that extra step. In social life how you dress will
help others determine your interest.

Fashion is something we deal with everyday. Even people who say they don’t care what they
wear choose clothes every morning that say a lot about them and how they feel that day. One
certain thing in the fashion world is change. We are constantly being bombarded with new
fashion ideas from music, videos, books, and television. Movies also have a big impact on what
people wear. Ray-Ban sold more sunglasses after the movie Men In Black. Sometimes a trend is
world-wide. Back in the 1950s, teenagers everywhere dressed like Elvis Presley. Fashion is
revealing. Clothes reveal what groups people are in. In high school, groups have names: “goths,
skaters, preps, herbs.” Styles show who you are, but they also create stereotypes and distance
between groups. For instance, a businessman might look at a boy with green hair and multiple
piercings as a freak and outsider. But to another person, the boy is a strict conformist. He dresses
a certain way to deliver the message of rebellion and separation, but within that group, the look
is uniform. Acceptance or rejection of a style is a reaction to the society we live in.
Fashion is a language which tells a story about the person who wears it. “Clothes create a
wordless means of communication that we all understand,” (Katherine Hamnett, a top British
fashion designer). There are many reasons why we wear what we wear, that is for Physical
attraction: many styles are worn to inspire “chemistry”, we display emotions: we dress “up”
when we’re happy and “down” when we’re upset, to show a religious expression: Orthodox
Jewish men wear long black suits and Islamic women cover every part of their body. Clothes
have an immense impact on the perception of people around and on the perception of the person
wearing them, too. A suit can make a person feel more confident and organized, which would
eventually change even the gestures and the manner of talking of the person or for instance
wearing jeans after a suit may change the conduct of a person to a very liberal and feeble one.
Dressing has become a way to create, to reveal and to conceal information from the external
observers. Fashion has always been considered to have more of a women based orientation.
As soon as women realized that experimenting with their clothing might bring them the results
they need they became the most interested consumers and the demand on women’s production
increased greatly. Throughout the history starting with the middle ages men’s fashion has
changed a lot. If the era of Renaissance was characterized by increased femininity in men’s
clothes, the end of the twentieth century became the moment of maximal revealing of
masculinity for men. As every person belongs to a definite culture and has the right to reveal it,
personal identity may sometimes be replaced by cultural identity. Cultural identity is the type of
identity that is related to a certain culture or a separate group. It brings people belonging to a
culture definite highlighting differences with other people. Demonstrating a belonging to a
certain cultural community is the free right of every person like people that freely declare who
they are going to vote for. Talking about culture it is possible to mention that nowadays exists
”material culture” that dictates its own ways and code of dressing.
Fashion is one of the most critical industries in our world today. Style has become one of the
primary ways in which people express their personality and in which they distinguish themselves
from those around them. With every New Year which comes and goes new fashions arrive on the
scene and they all endeavor to be more colorful and fashionable than those which saw last year.
The desire to express one is something which was present all through human history.

People of all ages are addicted to new trends in the world of fashion. There is a tremendous
amount of competition within the industry and also among consumers. The style is also different
among different cultures and nationalities, and this is why it’s so exciting when one travels to
various parts of the planet to observe firsthand how people dress in those countries. The clothes
we wear has become more than merely a way to cover our nakedness instead it has also become
one of the primary ways in which people express themselves.
There is a lot of discrimination among human beings and also a lot of criticism. People will do
everything possible to avoid such criticism. Peer pressure is something which continues to affect
people all through their lives, and it is a powerful motivator when it comes to crucial fashion
decisions. It is also true that fashion design has reached a very sophisticated level and therefore
some of the most popular models can be very costly.
It has the result that such fashion may only be accessible to affluent people. It can make it very
difficult for people of average income to compete when it comes to fashion designs. Fortunately,
there has been a lot of progress by fashion designers to cater for the middle-income consumer. It
is why there is a lot of fashion designs available which can make it possible for less fortunate
people to own still fashion designs which will be of a very high quality and also very attractive.
There are fashion items for every season and every occasion, and this makes it possible for
people to express themselves differently depending on the specific season or time of the year.
When one looks at all the consumer needs which have emerged in modern times, it becomes easy
to see why fashion designing has become such a specialized industry. Every person should do at
least a basic modeling course just so that they have a basic understanding of how to make the
best of their free clothes and accessories. Like we said earlier, it is not so much what you are
wearing but rather how you are wearing it which will ultimately provide proof of your
competence as far as fashion and personal appearance is concerned.
Fashion is a very important part of life. People don’t get jobs, people are judged, people are not
taken seriously, all because of the way people dress. The way you dress matters a lot these days,
it talks about yourself and also shows what kind of person you are. The way your present
yourself plays an important role because first impression matters and it speaks a lot about
yourself. You may not be able to afford many things or you may, as long as you have that sense
of taste, know your body and know what looks good on you and know it makes you look
presentable. Like Oleg Cassini “Fashion anticipates, and elegance is a state of mind … a mirror
of the time in which we live, a translation of the future, and should never be static.”
