In this Project all instrument As discussed with Mr. Towhid,
items must be ATEX/IECEx one SOV with POC can be
certified and suitable for Zone 2 introduced at upstream of diesel
(Class 1 Div 2). Without POC, pump for safety purpose. And no
not acceptable. We have  need to change in existing
procured  same valve from arrangement of burner system as
China. for, Pressure Jet Burners, Fuel Oil
Pressure is very high & SOV with
POC in not available in that high
pressure segment.
Only 1 Vendor (Honeywell –
Maxon) had agreed to provide
Oil side SOV valve as per your
2 given specification (SOV with
POC, open close limit switch and
local indication). Additional Price
for such valve = Rs. 10,85,000.
Spare valve will be our burner
vendor standard SOV. If spare is
required as per client’s
specification, same additional
price is applicable.
We prefer Client to procure this
valve from its Chinese vendor. If
client can give us its vendor
name, we can check price from
our side & revert back.
SPPL Comments
As per contract you have
to provide us all SOV and
Flow regulator Control
Valve with POC. As you are
not providing the POC type
SOV, downstream of pump
in diesel line for high
pressure, then you must
provide us one SOV with
open/close limit switch
(mechanical POC) with
field indicator upstream of
the pump.
As Techmotech is unable
to provide according to
contract than the change
should comply the safety
requirement / norm of
SPL. If there any price
impact for that SPL is not
liable. So there is no logical
ground that Thermotech
can claim the cost.

acceptable.

It took 4 weeks for Honeywell-

Maxon to give quote of this item
as it is slow moving item & not
available with Indian dealers.
We strongly recommend to go
ahead with our proposed &
agreed during discussion of SOV
with POC (Without local
indication & Open/close limit
switches)
