THE K.C.P. SUGAR AND INDUSTRIES CORP. LTD., VUYYURU


Vuyyuru was like any other Indian Village in the early forties. Slowly
wedded to the conventional way of agriculture raising mostly a single crop of
paddy. The K.C.P. Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd. Located at Vuyyuru
disburses in a season about Lakh tones of sugarcane to the cane growers
located within a radius of kms, and so the small way side villages of forties and
today enjoying a veritable boom which is understandable.
Late Mr. Velagapudi Rama Krishna, the founder of K.C.P. SUGAR AND
INDUSTRIES CORPORATION LTD. could think much ahead of his times and
visualized the need for encouraging Agro-based industries. While working as
the director of industries in Madras state. He encouraged the farmers of
Krishna delta to take sugar cane cultivation. And to start a Sugar factory in the
co-operative sector, His dream was realized with that of 800 TPD cane
crushing capacity in 1936 at Vuyyuru.
Great Personalities of Krishna delta region, Late Sri.Adusumilli Gopala
Krishnaiah, Late Raja Saheb of Vuyyuru and Late Challapalli Raja were some of
prominent personalities who took active part in establishing the sugar factory
in Co-operative sector of Vuyyuru. In the year 1943, the K.C.P. SUGAR &
INDUSTRIES CORPORATION Ltd., acquires the sugar factory from the co-
operative sector as a going concern. It disburses in a season about Rs 2,250
Lakh of rupees to the cane growers, located within a radius of 40 kms. By
1941 Ȃ 42 the cane area was 1880 acres with a production of 39250 tons of
cane. The sugar factory that went in to expansion in 1951, from 800 tons to
1200 tons per day utilizing almost entire sugar cane.
Today it has the largest crushing capacity and is also among the most
modern in the country. Latest technological advancement abroad as well as
their own are being continuously tried and experimented there and later on
incorporated in the plant. It started diversification first time in 1946 by
putting up a distillery of industrial alcohol using the molasses. The distillery is
one of the biggest and modern in Andhra Pradesh with 10 bulk liters capacity
per annum

regard the factory zone is located at an altitude of 10.0m above sea level
between 160.0 -160.50 N latitude and 800.35dz-810.50 .E longitude with in 40
Km. From the Bay of Bengal.

OBJECTIVES

The primary objective of the present study is to study how


organisational climate influences the employeesǯ performance.

âc To identify the strengths and weaknesses of the KCP sugar factories.


âc To identify the influencing factors of organisational climate.
âc To identify the external threats and opportunities of the company.
âc To assess the myths and realities of KCP sugar factory.
âc The relationship between organizational climate and employee
perceptions.c

The objective of the present study can be accomplished by conducting a
systematic research. Research is the systematic design, collection, analysis
and reporting of data and findings that are relevant to different marketing
solutions facing by the company.

 

The primary data for this study will be collected directly from the
employees of KCP sugar factory by using descriptive research method
approached the respondents with structured questionnaires.

 

It will be obtained from companies past climatic consequences, case


studies, company broachers, records, employeesǯ personal views and their
experiences.

Since the study is mainly dependent upon primary sources and effective
sampling plan should be designed perfectly for the purpose of the research.

The proposed sample size to study the organisational climate in KCP


Sugars will be 100 employees of different departments.
