THEME
English for Specific Purposes (ESP) meets the needs of adult learners
who need to learn English language for use in their specific fields, such as
science, technology, medicine, leisure, and academic learning. ESP
combines subject matter and English language teaching, a combination
that is highly motivating because students are able to apply what they
learn in their English classes to their main field of study, whether it be
accounting, business management, economics, computer science
engineering or tourism. Being able to use the vocabulary and structures
that they learn in a meaningful context reinforces what is taught and
increases their motivation. Seminar papers should be research or
classroom based and related to language education for adult learners in
various contexts:

• English for Medical Purpose
• English for Science & Technology
• English for Tourism
• Teaching ESP through Literature

CALL FOR PAPERS
Abstracts (200-250 words)along with D.D & Registration form should reach
us by 25th January 2011 by post. Soft copy of the Abstract can be forwarded

Full Paper (adhering to latest MLA style sheet) along with soft copy CD
should be submitted during presentation for future publication. You can

REGISTRATION FEE
Rs. 500 (Includes conference kit and lunch and Tea) for Teachers, Rs.150.00
for Research Scholars/Students (Without accommodation). Rs. 800 for
Teachers, Rs. 450 for Research Scholars/Students towards
accommodation. D.D should be drawn in favour of Treasurer, NCESP 2011,
Krishna University, Machilipatnam from any Nationalized Bank
payable at Machilipatnam.
ACCOMODATION
Limited accommodation is available. Those who wish to make their own
arrangements will be treated as Local delegates. Please inform in

Krishna University was established by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh at
Machilipatnam, the head quarters of Krishna district in 2008. It caters to
the needs of the students of Krishna district aspiring for higher education.

Vijayawada is the most happening city in Andhra Pradesh and is well
connected by air, rail and highways. The weather is temperate in February.

Siddhartha Academy Auditorium is located in the premises of
P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Science, Moghalrajpuram, Near M.G.
Road, which is 3 km from Pandit Nehru APSRTC Bus Station and 4 km
from Vijayawada Railway Station.
