Where to start with ARTCLIP3D?

You just received your ARTCLIP3D package containing 1 DVD

and 1 Dongle? Then what are you waiting for? Place the disc in
the DVD driver and plug your USB Key to begin the installation!

If you are a Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 User make sure to run the installation as an
Administrator by right clicking the ArtClip3D.exe Application within the installation
(DVD or download) you have. If Windows doesn’t recognize the install-shield and
sends back a message about Windows 98, you will also need to change the
compatibility level in the PROPERTIES tab of the ArtClip3D.exe. Run the
“Compatibility Troubleshooter” button and windows will adjust accordingly.

Soon as the.exe runs, the “ArtClip3D Install” button comes up; click it and go through
the installation pages by clicking the “Next” button located at the bottom. On Windows
Vista, 7, 8 & 10 you might be prompted to validate the installation by an “Allow” button.

installation windows by entering
your detailed information

Frequently Asked Questions

• Where do I find the ArtClip3D tools?

ArtClip3D tools are organized within different toolbars. By clicking on the heart icon
located on the main icons line, you can access the main toolbar from where other tools
are being placed. In this main tool bar you will notice the darker triangles located at the
bottom right corner of the main icons. They will each open an additional toolbar in which
other tools are as well placed.

• I have too many tools all over the place on my screen.

How can I organize them so I find them every time at the same place?

The toolbars of ArtClip3D can be docked on the sides of your screen if needed allowing
to free up some space within the graphical area as shown below. Once positioned
(docked or not) as desired you can keep this configuration as default by opening the
F10 key options, also reachable from Edit Menu and then option. From the “Display” Tab
you can click on the “Save users’ config” and validate to save your personal
configuration.

• A box popped up saying “Type3 has stopped working, Windows is
checking on a solution to the problem”. “A problem has caused the
program to stop working correctly” and at the very top, “ArtClip3D is not
responding” and it closed. I tried rebooting and started everything up
again, but the same thing happened. I am running Windows 7. Any idea
what’s happening?

Since Windows Vista, Microsoft has added additional securities for applications
directly installed under the C: drive. It is important for Users to have the possibility
to write and modify the contents of files within ArtClip3D installation files, so it is
needed to verify what has been activated and what has not on your OS.

For this, close ArtClip3D, and use Windows Explorer (right click on the MS Windows
icon in the main task bars and select “Open Windows Explorer”), go then in your
C: drive. A folder named ArtClip3D_V10 is gathering all the files needed to run the
applications.

Right click on the main folder as shown below and select the “Properties”
command. A new windows comes up named “ArtClip3D Properties”. Select the
2nd tab named “Security” and click to select the “Users” Group. Once selected in
the list click the “Edit” button, and then select the “Users” group as shown
highlighted in blue in the picture. If you then look in the “Permissions for Users”
table below, the “Full Control” and the “Modify” permissions must be ticked so
temporary files can be modified and can insure the stability of the applications.

Once those options are checked as “Allowed” then all the files within the
installation can interact and the requests made by the user in ArtClip3D are
granted. Click the “Apply” button, then “OK” and close the windows. If you
experience no difference in stability, please contact tech support by email or
directly on phone.
