Although Barsoom is larger than Earth, it is not as dense, so the gravities of Earth and Barsoom are almost identical.
As a result, neither Earthlings nor Barsoomians suffer gravity-based penalties when invading each other’s planet.

Comparing the planets’ atmospheres however is another matter. A much older world than Earth, Barsoom has been
slowly losing atmosphere for millions of years. As a result, the atmospheric pressure of Barsoom is now only about
75% of what it is on Earth at the same altitude. For example, the atmospheric pressure at the city of Syrtis Major
(about 4,630 feet above Barsoom’s old sea level) is equal to the Village of Placitas, (at 5,788 feet above sea level) and
has no effects on fatigue costs. At the higher city of New Amsterdam, (about 5,600 feet above Barsoom’s old sea
level) the air pressure is equal to that of Taos, New Mexico (at 7,000 feet above sea level), but still has no effects on
fatigue costs. However, the air pressure at the lofty city of Nouveau Knossos (about 14,030 feet above Barsoom’s old
sea level) is equal to that of Aucanquilcha, Chile – the highest permanent human habitation on Earth, (at 17,540 feet
above sea level), resulting in quadruple fatigue costs for strenuous activities like combat.

This bears only a vague resemblance to the Mars of our own “reality”.
