“The limits of my language means the limits of my world.

”
If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would
appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till
he sees all things thro' narrow chinks of his cavern.
“Man is the only creature who refuses to be what he is.”
The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is
an act of rebellion.
“Blessed are the hearts that can bend; they shall never be broken.”
“You Are One Decision Away from a Completely Different Life”
You can’t control how you feel. But you can always choose how you act.”
“Start before you're ready.
Don't prepare, begin.”
“The 5 Second Rule The moment you have an instinct to act on a goal you must 5-4-3-2-1 and
physically move or your brain will stop you.”
“Your feelings don’t matter. The only thing that matters is what you DO.”
You already know that the opportunity for growth and expansion lies in your ability to step
outside of your comfort zone, but you still won’t do it, and here’s why:
Knowing what to do will never be enough.
“What the heck is wrong with me? I know what I’m supposed to be doing, why can’t I just do it?”
1. Knowing what to do will never be enough.
2. Knowing why you need to do it will never be enough.
So what we need is something that’s going to launch us into a state of action. Because if you’re
sitting around waiting for motivation, I’m here to tell you it’s not coming.
If you don’t start doing the things you don’t feel like doing, you will wake up one year from
today and be in exactly the same place.
So here’s the one-liner definition of the 5 Second Rule:
If you have an impulse to act on a goal, you must physically move within 5 seconds or your
brain will kill the idea.

Whatever your goals are, show the world, and yourself, that you’re serious by taking action,
however insignificant that action may seem, RIGHT NOW.
Because when you physically move, your brain starts to build new habits. When you do
something you’re not used to doing, you are in the act of building new habits and erasing
existing ones.
Wherever you are, become more centered, become more alert, live more consciously.
There is nowhere else to go. Everything that has to happen, has to happen within you,
and it is in your hands. You are not a puppet, and your strings are not in anybody else's
hands. You are an absolutely free individual. If you decide to remain in illusions, you can
remain so for many, many lives. If you decide to get out, a single moment's decision is
enough. You can be out of all illusions this very moment.

The more you are fantasizing about something, the less you are actually doing
about it.
Part of this is simple time economics. There are only so many hours in a day, and only
so much energy at our disposal. Every minute spent fantasizing about what life would
be like if a certain goal is reached is a minute lost to the pursuit of that goal in actuality.

This again is where the law of fantasy comes in: the more you fantasize about something, the
less you are actually doing about it. The more you fantasize, the less time and energy you have
to plan and work towards a positive future

When we practice escapism, we are trying to avoid “spending time" with ourselves. Rather than
engage in healthy introspection or meaningful social interaction, we occupy ourselves endlessly
with Facebook, television, email, video games, gambling, drugs and alcohol, and so on.

If you want to improve in this life, you will need to experience discomfort. That is the only way
to expand your comfort zone.

in order to progress in any area of your life, you must take action. But the more time you spend
inside of the fantasy world in your mind, the less motivation you have to do anything about
your “real" life.
how can you best return to reality after being stuck in a fantasy world for so long?

Laying the Groundwork

First things first, you’ll need to do some self-analysis and figure out what it is you are
fleeing from.

It’s so easy to use electronics in order to stop yourself from thinking, or to numb yourself from
whatever is going on in your life. A media fast can be a shock to your system, but, like a regular
fast, has a cleansing effect. Afraid of missing out on whatever your friends are doing? Chances
are, you’ll get along fine.

Ultimately, it comes down to your mindset. If you are running away from reality, you will
suffer the consequences. But if you are accessing another world in order to gain some insights to
bring back to reality, you will profit.
