1-The main role of a network administrator is to keep an organization's computer


network up to date and operating as intended.

2-Methods to install an operating system


To install an operating system you first need to get the operating system version
you need; it can be Linux or Microsoft Windows, each versio has different steps and
options are unique to that operating system.

To get the operating system you can Buy or Download it from a sure source or the
publisher.

You can install an OS on a computer using two different methods;that is


-Using a CD/DVD
-Using a USB flash drive

With a CD/DVD you need to configure your computer to boot from th CD/DVD drive. To
do
that you can change the boot sequence in your bios setup,and setting the CD/DVD
drive
to be the first boot device.

With a USB flash drive,you need to configure the computer to boot to a USB device
as the
first boot device.Once the computer is configured to boot to the proper device, the
computer should load the operating system installation program and guide you
through
the install process.You will be asked questions along the way for configuration of
basic settings, simply go through the installation steps selecting the preferred
options.

Running the operating system


After the operating system has been installed, the computer should load into the
operating system. You can then proceed with installing software that you want on
the
computer and updating any settings you want.

3-The method i learn during class is the USB flash drive method were, you transfer
the virtual OS from the USB to your computer in a folder you created the hard drive

partition you desire and the you start the installation process

4- The 3 options for VMware workstation network settings are;

-BRIDGED NETWORKING
This is a computer networking option that connects a virtual machine to a network
by
using the network adapter on the host system.

-HOST-ONLY NETWORKING
The host-only virtual network connects the virtual machine to the host-only.That is
the VM can only communicate wirh the host that is runnung VMware workstation but it
has no LAN network access, on internet access, and no communication to other VMs
that are runnung on th same host under Workstation.

-Network Address Translation (NAT) networking.


It enables private IP networks that use unregistered IP addresses to connect to the
Internet. NAT operates on a router, usually connecting two networks together, and
translates the private (not globally unique) addresses in the internal network into
legal addresses, before packets are forwarded to another network.

5-what is the type of operating system needed for network administration purposes
The type of operating system needed for network administration purpose is a Client-
Server Operating System.

6-The name of the operating system needed for windows designed for network
administration
is known as WINDOWS SERVER

7- 3 types of application server

WildFly:is a flexible, lightweight, managed application runtime that helps you


build
amazing applications

WebSphere server: is a set of Java-based tools from IBM that allows customers to
create and manage sophisticated business Web sites.

WebLogic Server:is an application server: a platform for developing and deploying


multitier distributed enterprise applications.
