I. Objectives
The students shall be able to:
1. identify the grammatical signals used in the given sentences;
2. apply the appropriate graphic organizer to show cause and effect relationship; and
3. use appropriate grammatical signals to distinguish cause and effect.

B. Developmental Activities
1. Review of the Past Lesson
2. Motivation
The teacher will divide the class into three groups. Each group will give their
idea or thought about the two pictures shown then, read a particular reading text by
answering questions.
3. Lesson Proper
The teacher will discuss cause and effect, cause-effect relationship and how the
signal words are used.
4. Generalization
The teacher will ask the students questions that will reinforce what she has
discussed during the lesson proper with the use of video clip. Reflect what they have
gained about the video clip which is about cause-effect relationship.
IV. Evaluation
Group Activity:
The teacher will give each group a task. The task is to do a cause-effect relationship
using a graphic organizer (fish bone).
