APPLICATIONS
Announcement

Caterpillar is announcing the addition of Caterpillar® Remanufactured Radiators. These bolted core radiators are availa
number of machine and industrial applications.

Coverage

The addition of Caterpillar Remanufactured radiators will provide dealers with another repair option to support their cu
new part number and its Reman equivalent is shown below. See the radiators technical supplement, SELD0254, for app
information and additional acceptable cores.

Features and Benefits

Caterpillar Remanufactured radiators contain 100% new cores and meet all critical new part performance specifications
same-as-new parts warranty. Process controls throughout the remanufacturing process ensure consistent quality. This sa
quality is available at a fraction of new part prices to help lower the customer’s overall owning and operating costs. In a
worldwide availability through the Caterpillar distribution system minimizes customer downtime.

Availability

All of these radiators are currently available for order. Caterpillar has established distribution-center inventory levels ba
estimated normal demand. Dealer input can help better allocate this material. If you expect to have a significant deman
new Caterpillar remanufactured components, please provide your Caterpillar (subsidiary) marketing organization’s Rem
or your Caterpillar district representative, with your forecasted part number requirements by month in advance to help e
components are available to meet your needs.

Core Acceptance

Core acceptance for Caterpillar Remanufactured radiators is simple, visual and requires no special tools. To receive ful
the radiator core must be:
• Fully assembled and complete
• Acceptable Caterpillar part number

• Returned in the original shipping container
• Drained of all fluids
• Have no non-operational damage

Core Management

Please refer to the Caterpillar Core Management Information System (CMIS 2) Parts Information application describin
part/CAF and related information. Also refer to other CMIS 2 inquiry applications such as Customer Profiles, Inspectio
Codes, Inspection Line Inquiry, Add Charge Information, Entitlement Activity, Entitlement Inquiry, CCR Inquiry, CCR
Shipment Processing; Process Packaging Grief; and Reporting to properly manage core returns and monitor inspection
This information will be available to all dealers worldwide after your CMIS 2 conversion date. In the meantime, please
use the current CMIS Entitlement Parts Inquiry Screen describing the list of parts in a Core Acceptability Family (CAF
part number detail.
