A RTIST S TATEMENT
My interest in painting lies in the
role of an “illustrator as a visual
journalist,” and the subject of
memory. My art is rooted in the
Influences of the impressionistic
painters, illustrators, and
animators of the nineteenth and
twentieth centuries.
In my work I use an artist language
that is a combination deeply rooted
in language of figurative and
abstract artist of the past. From
these I use the traditional artistic
tools of color and form which
allow me to immerse the viewer
Raymond Bonilla’s art revolves around the role of the artist as a visual journalist. In his most into my pictures and allow them to
