silvakote is a one-pack, aluminium-pigmented bitumen solution that is used as a general purpose reflective aluminium paint for metallic, bituminous and concrete surfaces. It provides UV resistance and high reflectivity when applied in two thin coats. silvakote dries within 2 hours, has a service temperature of 70°C, and weathers well over time, though the aluminum pigments will dull. Proper surface preparation is required and the product must be stirred well before and during use to prevent settling of the aluminum pigments.
