Jean Watson developed the Theory of Transpersonal Caring which has 10 carative factors. The theory views caring as independent from curing and advocates for nursing as a discipline devoted to caring, health, and healing. It is based on transcendental phenomenology and views consciousness as energy within a human-environment field.
