I. Pamagat ng Kagamitan/
Panimula: This identifies the module or activity sheet. It may include a brief
rationale/introduction on what learners will learn. Keep it short (1-3 sentences). Use the
second person conversational style (so that you are speaking directly to the learner). Use
short sentences with appropriate terminology.
II. Mga Layunin: This must be taken from the Most Essential Competencies.

III. Talahulugan: Lists and defines all of the key words and short phrases that appear in the
module. The purpose of identifying and providing simple definition of these terms is to help
learners use them appropriately in context.
IV. Panimulang Pagsubok: Evaluates learner’s knowledge and skills prior to starting the
module. Provide not more than 5 items.

V. Mga Gawain sa Pagkatuto: Gives the learner step-by-step instructions for working through
the module and using supplemental resources. This part gives instruction to the learner to
refer to a supplemental material like a textbook, video, link to an online material, news
article, manual, etc. (if available). If not, the teacher will provide input or explanation of a
concept. Which must be done in the simplest way, providing enough examples.

VII. Pangwakas na Pagsubok: Measures learner’s knowledge after completing the module.
Provide 5-10 items for “paper and pencil” test. If it is a performance test, provide a rubric.
Susi sa Pagwawasto—For teacher’s use; provides the key for all of the assignments and
other activities in the material. This may be included in the module or may remain with the teacher.
If there will be an opportunity to check and give feedback to the learners, then answer keys may
remain with the teacher.

1. The activities in the module may be taken from the Daily Lesson Plans. Additional
activities/materials may be provided.
2. The design of the module attempts to be adaptive to different learning modalities (online, face-
to-face, blended). The writer is given the freedom to choose or provide activities; whatever is
suitable, available and accessible.
3. The approximation of completion time for each module will depend on the grade level.
Key Stage 1: 20-30 minutes per module
Key Stage 2: 30-60 minutes per module
Key Stage 3-4 : 60-80 minutes per module
4. This is a general design, the presentation may vary per learning area.
5. If the design is not applicable, modifications may be done or a suitable design may be used.
