4.1 Introductory Activity Word Guessing Game

4.2 Activity * Groupings


(15 mins.) Instructions: Groups play a Game of Rock, Paper & Scissors. Winning
team chooses group’s stand on the topics assigned.

Groups 1 & 2 - Should girls ask guys out?


Groups 3 & 4 - Is fashion important?
Groups 5 & 6 - Does age matter in relationships?
4.3 Analysis Questions:
(5 mins.) *Are there points during defending your stand which you think you are
doubtful? Why do you say so?

4.4 Abstraction What is a Position Paper?


(35 mins.) A position paper presents writer’s stand or viewpoint on a particular issue.
Writing a position paper entails outlining arguments and proposing the
course of action.

essay. Observe the three important elements of paragraph such as
introduction, body and conclusion.

strengthening the Instruction: Look for a partner and let your partner read your essay
Day’s Lesson regarding your stand about the chosen topic. Let your partner give
his/her feedbacks regarding your stand. Do the same with your partner’s
output.
