Help finance The

Writer and get rich*
Last year Pinter & Martin
completed its first feature film, the
adaptation of Martin Wagner’s play
The Agent (see page 24 or
www.the-agent-film.com) and
directed by Lesley Manning, which
was released in UK cinemas, and
released on DVD and iTunes in
2010.
The Agent was shot on a budget
of under £30,000, but for our next
project we need to raise £200,000
from independent investors, hence
we are selling 20 shares of £5,000
for 1.25% of the profits, which
could be miniscule or enormous. If you can’t invest yourself, we also offer
10% if you find someone who does invest!
The Writer is a horror film about a bunch of inexperienced film-makers
who hire a writer as an afterthought, but the shoot quickly turns into a
nightmare. We like to think it will be scary and smart. It was about to go in
production several years ago, when finance fell through at the last moment, so
now we’re doing it ourselves.

About Pinter & Martin

Pinter & Martin is an independent publishing company

founded in 1997 by writer and filmmaker Martin Wagner
and childbirth educator Maria Pinter when we realised
that Stanley Milgram’s Obedience to Authority was
unavailable in the UK.
We publish authors who challenge the status quo.
While we specialise in psychology and pregnancy & birth,
we also publish other subjects, but only books which are
very close to our hearts. We publish around 12 books a
year, so it’s always worth checking what’s new on our
website. Pinter & Martin is based in London, but we sell
and market books all over the world, with distribution in
the US, Canada and Australia.
Pinter & Martin also produces films and plays. Our play
