Attention to detail is a vital skill in cleaning the toilet.

Despite all the efforts to please the guest, the GRA’s health should also have to be
considered. Therefore, the GRA is required to wear protective gloves whenever cleaning
the toilet.

8.    Flush again to wash away dirt and residue.

9.  Conduct final inspection – leave lid down when thoroughly cleaned. Add hygiene strip,
if appropriate.
It is very important to make sure that any trace of the previous guest is not evident.
Check and recheck to make sure that the toilet is clean, including the lid and seats on
both sides.

Traces of the cleaning agents must also be wiped clean because this can cause discomfort
when the skin comes into contact with it.
Topic 3: Cleaning the Vanity Area

Housekeeping NC II: Cleaning Vanity Area

The most commonly used area in the bathroom is the vanity area. The guest uses it to do

Make sure to place the guest’s personal items back in the vanity area where you have
found them.

takes little effort to soil them. Grime buildup on the tile grout can make the bathroom
floor look dirty. Cleaning the bathroom floor not only makes it look good but is also good
for the guest’s hygiene.

small pieces of furniture
