To register for the semester, students must complete the following two steps

Step 1: Make the necessary payment

Step 2: Submit duly filled online registration form successfully before the registration deadline
Online registration will only be activated from 8th June 2020.

No registrations will be allowed after the deadline.

If you have any issue in registering;

You must contact Academic Affairs by submitting your query using inquiry button (available in the home page of
online semester registration portal) or by emailing supportaa@sliit.lk before the registration deadline.

Students must meet the progression criteria applicable to the programme of study to be eligible to continue
studying. For more details please refer “Academic progression criteria for All Faculties” in the notice shown below
on section 04.

Students who need to make the payments through bank loans from local banks, should obtained the cheque to
the drawn name of “Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (Gte.) Ltd” and student should deposit the
cheque in one of SLIIT accounts mentioned in the notice and the cheque deposit slip should be attached to the
online registration process.

4. Academic progression criteria for All Faculties

• According to the Student Rule Book, it is mandatory for the students to fulfil the following progression requirements.

Year 1 to Year 2 – Not more than 05 accumulated failed modules


Year 2 to Year 3 – Not more than 03 accumulated failed modules
Year 3 to Year 4 – Not more than 02 accumulated failed modules

Notes
1. “Failed modules” mentioned here includes both “repeat modules” and “incomplete modules”.
2. This is applicable to all the programs unless otherwise specified.

• The faculty at their discretion may decide to allow students to proceed to the next year ONLY under the condition that they
may take a maximum of 3 modules (pro rata or repeat in total) in addition to the normal semester workload.

• Those who are not allowed to proceed to the next level will be eligible for a full refund and their registration will be cancelled (if
already registered).
