Position Title WSCC Coordinator

Job To provide information to students, faculty, and staff about the benefits of
Description proper school health and nutrition facts according to the WSCC guidelines.
This job will be subject to the state and local standards, and will be observed
on a periodic basis.
Job Duties  Provide information (signs, posters, pamphlets, etc.) throughout the
school and in the school district if need be.
 Talk to the different students at school functions that would involve
speaking to a group about the importance of healthy lifestyles.
 Talk with the school board about ways to better maximize the benefits
with students, faculty, and staff.
 Gather new information that would be relevant to the success of
furthering the WSCC in the school system.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in the designated field (Masters degree is preferred, but not
required), least 2-3 years’ experience, and basic to moderate knowledge of
the subject at hand.

1. What do you want to accomplish if you were granted this job?

“To give the students a better grasp on the knowledge that is needed to
be able to adapt, distribute, and teach the students about the benefits of a
healthy lifestyle”.

2. Why did you choose this area as your profession?

“Because I want to tell the students and teachers the importance of
implementing a healthy lifestyle into their daily routines. This will help
become better teachers and be more academic in the classroom for students”.

3. How would you go about getting information about the WSCC?

“I will do a lot of research, grasping the latest information that is need
to put onto posters, printouts, and others to get the information out to the
students.

4. How would get the community involved with students about the WSCC?
“I would come up with different functions that the parents can
participate in that would be helpful to spreading the word around the entire
surrounding area. The parents can ask questions and help out with activities.
5. What is your number one goal to be successful in this position?
“My goal is to give the students an opportunity to learn about the
WSCC and the elements that it has to offer that would be useful information
for the students to take and apply to their daily lives”.

6. Situation Question: “A student wants to get into exercising, working out,

and practice to eventually try-out for the basketball team. How will he know
that the routine that he is doing will be helpful for him to make the team”?
“The best course of action would be to sit the student down and talk
with that student about the importance of the lifestyle. I will give the student
pamphlets that would be helpful, and then give a regime for that students to
have better success at a healthy lifestyle”.

7. How would you share information to the faculty and staff?

“I would send out weekly emails to the teachers and faculty. These
emails will consist of daily information, recipes to try at home, and activities
loading with information that would be beneficial to the staff.

8. What kind of impression are you willing to leave to the students and
teachers?
“I want the information that is given to be seen by every student and
teacher, because this would be helpful for overall health. Also, it will be
helpful in the classroom. It would lead to a better lifestyle, but the student will
pay more attention in the classroom.

9. If you had $5,000 to use in anyway you see fit. What would you do with
the money?
“I would use that money to get stuff organized, information posted
throughout the school. I would take what money is left over, and invest in
taking one to two teachers to a conference during the summer break. The
teachers will a lot of knowledge to become more involved in the WSCC”.

10. Will you have fun doing this job?

“I would, because I want to get the information out there for all of the
students in the school and school systems around the area. This will be start
of something successful for not only me, but for my colleagues and students
too”.
