Topic: Counseling
Narrowed Topic: Counseling as an Innovative Tool for Student Success in Schools
Paragraph: The paradigm shift in family, social and professional environment, free availability of social
media and increasing competition has made harrowing impact on adolescents. Today, a large number of
students are suffering from some sort of psychological problem or pressure. The problem needs to be
addressed. With the prevalence of nuclear family and both the parents working, the responsibility, today,
falls on educational institutes. The traditional schooling system seems inadequate and the need of the
innovative technique – counseling cell in the schools, is felt to create a secure and healthy environment
from the very beginning. The faculty also faces various internal as well as external challenges, which
require a professional and empathetic handling through counselor. This research paper will explore
various counseling needs of the students as well as teachers. The research will apply both qualitative and
quantitative tools to reach a conclusion regarding the importance of counseling needs in the schools.

Topic: Education during pandemic
Narrowed Topic: Disruption in Education during Lockdown- Students’ Perspective: A Study on
the students of North South University
Paragraph: The disruption brought by COVID-19 pandemic, in Higher Education sector, posed a
challenge to education community, across the globe. Online education during the COVID-19 pandemic
differs a lot from online education on general. While the former was mandatory irrespective of certain
limitations; the latter is wider in scope, and is optional. The research will have dual objectives: to explore
students’ perspective on online classes held during lockdown and to find out whether online or offline
classes can survive separately? An empirical study, based on a survey through structured questionnaire,
will be done. It may have the potential to develop appropriate learning environment in future.

Narrowed Topic: Reintegration of ex-Military Personnel with civil life- A social Issue and Big
Challenge: An Empirical Study
Paragraph: Every year a large number of individuals have to quit different military services: army, navy,
air force etc. for different reasons all over the world. Among all the reasons, medical discharge is the most
unacceptable one. After forced departure from the service, these personnel face several problems as they
go through a difficult and sensitive time in their life. Starting from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD),
they go through different mental, psychological and psychopathological problems. Further, people look at
them in a different way when they come to know that the person had to resign from military services.
Moreover, the behavior and attitude of the family members and relatives make the situation worse. Ex-
military personals of this category suffer from depression. However, the person can be turned into a
positive and effective power of the society by proper support from the surroundings as the person can use
the learning from his/her experience in other occupations as well.
