PE/Health Rules and Expectations: (In person and Online)


1. Students will follow instructions
2. Students will be respectful, responsible, and polite to teachers and fellow peers.
3. Students will participate.
4. Being active and showing effort in all activities is important to being successful in PE/health
5. No food, drinks or gum in the PE areas: gym, locker rooms, activity areas.

Consequences for misbehavior:


1. Quiet Warning
2. Time-out in class
3. Student conference
4. Parent contact and/or Referral to administrator

Rewards
1. Unknown prize!
2. Positive feedback!
3. Positive phone call home!
4. Positive message using remind app.
Classroom Procedures (In person)
Entering the gym. Students should walk into the gym in a calm and controlled
manner. Food, drink (except for water), and gum are not permitted in the gym,
or any other activity area. Food brought into the gym will be taken and
disposed of. Students are expected to be ready for activity when the bell rings.
Beginning of Class. (In person)
Students quickly go to the selected activity area. Once in the activity area, students are to wait
for attendance to be taken.
During class. Students will be given instructions, student will practice activity as I observe, class
will be stopped and retaught if needed.
End of Class. After closing activity, students will be dismissed when the bell has rung.

Questions. Students should avoid “shouting out” answers and questions during class unless
otherwise directed to do so by the teacher. Questions and comments should be made in a
polite manner.

Health (Online and In Person)


Health education is created to help students improve their health by increasing their knowledge
or influencing their attitudes. Students will learn the importance of life- long healthy living,
exercise, and leisure.
Students will be learning about:
The human Body: Sleep, bones, muscles, Joints and much more
Health problems: Stress, depression etc.
Personal health: Fitness, hygiene etc.
Grading:
Grades will be based on the following criteria. (Students are not graded on their skill level, but
on effort given)
· Shows Effort, Participates = (10 pts per day)
· Quizzes
· Health assignments

A = 90% - 100%
B = 80% - 89%
C = 70% - 79%
D = 60% - 69%
F = 59% or lower
