• Raycap is a flexible manufacturer of customized and innovative outdoor cabinet systems.

• Raycap incorporates added-value for the customer, since it identifies the customer requirements and
implements them in state-of-the-art technically solution protecting the customer’s investment.

• More than 5.000 cabinets were supplied

• The project included the transportation of the cabinet and

the installation on the existing concrete base

• Part of the project was implemented on a turn key basis:

- Preparation and submission of all required folders for

the authorization of the cabinet installation

- Construction of the concrete base

- Transportation and installation of the cabinet

- Termination of the optical cable

- Installation and termination of the active equipment

- Electrification of the cabinet

 Main production site is in Greece, Drama.
Additional facilities in Romania and Cyprus mainly serving
local projects.

 Outdoor cabinets – Mechanical characteristics (1)ristics

• The cabinets are made of aluminum: They consist of an aluminum frame upon
which panels with aluminum double walls are attached.

• They have a base structure of dual ventilated aluminium walls. Perfect mechanical
strength and thermal conductivity. Cabinet’s manufacturing process

• The cabinets are fully modular, allowing easy parts replacement in the field as well
as future upgrades if required.

• All metal parts are painted with electrostatic powder coating (RAL 70xx)
Cabinet roof

• The cabinet is weatherproofed to IP55 level. Sealing is provided using embedded

rubber all along panels and doors. The roof of each cabinet sticks out from the
vertical cabinet walls and water cannot infiltrate through the vertical walls.

A destroyed cabinet’s rear wall caused by a car collision in Bucharest.

The replacement of the wall was done by our company within 2 hours
without interrupting the offered service.

• All cabinets have special anti-vandalism features:

- The slots between the moving surfaces (doors) are specifically designed→
No insertion of sharp objects.
- Hinges and locks do not stick out and cannot be destroyed with a
hammer when the cabinet is closed.
- Screws and nuts are not accessible.

• The cabinet is equipped with a 3-point locking system, comprising of a Anti-vandalism locking system
handle, lock cylinders and hinges made of stainless steel.

• The floor of each cabinet is modular and covered by an aluminum plate.

All cable entries are equipped with glands.

• Each cabinet is marked with the Danger Laser Beam, the Electric shock
Hazard and the company logo with silk screen print.

• The cabinet includes following equipment:
- Power supply system
- Control unit (included in the power system)
- DC distribution board (included in the power system)
- AC distribution frame
- Optical distribution frame
- Alarm sensors
- Heat exchanger Power supply system with DC distribution
- Fan speed controller

• Power Supply system:

- Consist of a subrack 1U, 2x 800W rectifiers, DC Distribution board and the control unit.
- The rectifiers operate in 1 + 1 mode.
- The DC distribution frame is built in the rectifier subrack → More space
- The power system can be configured and monitored locally and remotely
- The control unit monitors all system parameters (DC voltage, rectifier current, temperature,
circuit breaker status) and the external alarms (door, flood, etc.)

• Alarm sensors are provided in the cabinet (door alarm, flood, smoke detector, temperature). Dry
contacts can be connected to disconnection modules if required. All alarms are monitored through
the control unit.

 Cooling System – Heat Exchanger solution

• Heat Exchanger: The cabinet cooling is of closed circuit type. The

structure of the heat exchanger does not allow the outside air to access
and circulate inside the cabinet. Heat is exchanged between the air
inside and outside the cabinet, either using the structure of the cabinet
itself or using heat exchangers.

• Fan speed controller: The speed of the fans is regulated according to

the temperature inside the cabinet. Any failure is monitored to the
control unit. The function of the fan speed controller can be configured
according to specific needs.
