The Classus WS is a traditional spring-operated
breakbarrel air rifle made by Walther, true to
the company’s tradition of 130 years. Available
in calibers of 4.5 and 5.5 mm and in variants up
to 20 joules, it features a classic Minelli wood
stock with precise checkering and a rubber butt
plate. The tried-and-tested LGV-style cocking
rod operates very smoothly, and the short
400  mm Lothar Walther barrel with muzzle
thread ensures tight groupings. The Classus is
factory-equipped with an open front sight.

THE LGU. The Walther LGU, praised in many tests as the
»the best out-of-the-box air rifle«, has been
upgraded again in a Master Pro version. The
continuously variable butt plate allows the
spring-operated air rifle to be adjusted to the
height of the telescopic sight and the shooter’s
stance. This model comes without a front and
rear sight, so a telescopic sight is necessary
(available at extra cost). The LGU also features
an innovative rotary piston, Super Silent
Technology and a Vibration Reduction System.
The integral cocking lever under the barrel can
be cocked with hardly any friction and fires
so smoothly that each shot can be checked
though the sight.

Das Walther LGU Master, das in Tests als
»bestes Luftgewehr out of the box« gelobt
wird, wird als Version Master Pro nochmals
aufgewertet: die stufenlos verstellbare
Schaftkappe hilft dabei, das Federdruck-
Luftgewehr an die Höhe der Zielfernrohr-
Montage und an den individuellen Anschlag
anzupassen. Denn dieses Modell kommt
ohne Kimme und Korn und benötigt daher
ein Zielfernrohr (gegen Aufpreis). Das LGU
überzeugt ansonsten mit dem innovativen
Drehkolben, der Super Silent Technology und
dem Vibration Reduction System. Dadurch
lässt sich das LGU über den integrierten
Spannhebel unter dem Lauf fast reibungslos
spannen und liegt im Schuss so ruhig, dass
man den Treffer durch die Optik bis ins Ziel

A force of nature: Walther PCP rifles
(precharged pneumatics) use stored
compressed air at about 2900 psi in a cylinder
as the propellant for their pellet, about three
times as much pressure as CO2-rifles. This
increase in pressure gives the pellet a powerful
push, resulting in improved shot-to-shot
consistency and accuracy. At the same time,
these rifles shoot almost recoilless and multiple
times without pumping or cocking. This is also
the main precondition for repeater models like
the 8-shot Walther air rifles. They offer a high
output with a suitable number of shots. The
compressed air in a PCP rifle is not affected by
changes in temperature – a big pro in hunting
or target shooting, because you can make
every shoot count. The high-power output,
superb accuracy, fantastic barrel quality

The Walther 1250 Dominator implements
the proven engineering of the successful
Walther LG300 Dominator (introduced 2001)
in a compressed air repeating system with
8-shot rotary clip. The loading bolt action feeds
the pellet directly into the barrel, resulting in
precise long distance shooting with minimal
velocity reduction. The 300 bar air cylinder
allows a shooting capacity of 100 with 40 Joules.
The fiber glass reinforced stock with two sided
Monte Carlo cheekpiece is equally suited for
right and left handed shooters. Pistol grip and
forearm knobs grant a tight grip for the shooter
in every firing position.

Field target shooting, a discipline now practiced
in some 40 countries around the world, is
simulated hunting in which no blood flows.
Using air rifles with a muzzle energy of up to
16.3 joules, shooters aim through a telescopic
sight at steel targets that fall over when hit. The
targets are set at distances of 9 to 50 meters in
forests or meadows. Shooters must estimate
the distance to each target as accurately as
possible and take the wind into account when
calculating the trajectory. For this they have
only one minute for each shot. Scoring is based
on the number of steel animals that are tipped
over on a course of usually 25 lanes, each with
two targets.

features an 8-shot rotary metal magazine and
is available in various Joules. The ergonomic
stock, made by Minelli in Italy, offers an
instinctive and defined grasp, just when you
need to be fast. If you prefer a more sturdy
stock, you can choose between the polymer-
coated wood version RM8 Black PCW or the
ergonomic RM8 Varmint with the popular
thumbhole-stock made from polymer. In any
case the barrel was made by Lothar Walther,
with a ½" UNF thread for a silencer. The filling
valve and the manometer are already built-in.
The Rotex RM8 needs a scope and some avid
shooters.

of air rifle is superior to the other – that you
have to choose between shooting with a
compressed air or a spring-powered rifle.

on a springer is so different from shooting with

provides hours of reliable service – safe
shooting for young and old. Pellet trap, black,
with four steel duck silhouettes. When the
smaller center target is hit all targets return to
the upright position. Suitable for up to 7.5 joules
