Introduction Slide:

Raah Foundation is an NGO who works mainly on the Tribal belt of Maharashtra. Dr Sarika Kulkarni is
the founder and director of the organization. “Making a better world for tribal communities” is the
mission of the NGO.

The NGO is on a Hybrid model where in we have RCD which is doing business by selling Warli and
Handicraft products and using the profit for the upliftment of the Tribal people. Let me brief you
about the Warli art form

As you can see ,There’s more to Warli than what meets the eye. It is not
just an art form, but a way of life for the Warli (Varli) tribes . Each
painting depicts a story. For eg on the screen we can see the female
figurines working up for some celebration in the village. Thus these
artists have the capability of adding their thoughts and emotions with the
help of colors on each product they paint on.x`x``x``

• Objective : To empower tribal artists and women with a steady source of income by
creating a niche market space for their heritage art (Warli paintings) –

By increasing revenue of RCD

• Scope: To increase the sales of tribal products through various marketing strategies such as
creating new product categories with warli paintings and sell them through art exhibitions,
retail stores and digital platforms

• Advantage: Handmade products in traditional art form is valued by people, thus creating a
niche market

• Existing problems: No proper targeting of customers, ineffective operations, resource

shortage, limited human resources, market competition, poorly priced products an d
non online presence
