INTRODUCTION

This document has been prepared to describe the PT ADHI CIPTA UTAMA planning for the
handling of incidents that could adversely affect the environment. The Company cannot
envisage any major incident associated with its activities that could cause harm to the
environment but does address minor incidents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

All employees of PT ADHI CIPTA UTAMA have a responsibility to beobservant and to report
any inadvertent releases of chemicals, fuel oil, oil etc. to the Responsible Person so that
appropriate action can be taken.

Line Managers are responsible for ensuring that appropriate safeguards for the environment
have been incorporated into the planning of their operations.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE METHODS

Offshore Operations and Operations at Potentially Hazardous Sites

Company provides services at offshore locations and onshore sites which have the potential
to be hazardous, such as Power Stations, Gas Treatment Facilities, Petrochemical Plants etc.
For the purpose of this document they are all considered to be Offshore Installations.

All Project Managers are responsible for ensuring that appropriate contingency measures are
in place where the activities being performed have the potential to harm the environment.
These measures shall be identified as part of the Risk Assessment performed as specified Risk
Assessment Procedure. As an example of the contingency to be provided, oil absorbent
granules shall be provided for inadvertent spills wherever oil spills or oil leakage is a
possibility. Used granules shall be sealed in polythene bags and returned onshore for correct
disposal or disposed of correctly by the management of the offshore installation.

Company Personnel have the potential to be involved in a major environmental incident at an


offshore installation, they shall observe all instructions given to them by management at that
location.

The Company has a procedure in place for controlling its response to a major offshore
incident which is described in Emergency Response Procedure.

Radiographic Operations

The Company provides radiographic services utilizing ionizing radiations at offshore locations
and onshore sites which have the potential to be hazardous, such as Power Stations, Gas
Treatment Facilities, Petrochemical Plants etc. The Company undertakes these operations in
accordance with the Ionizing Radiation Regulations and has in place Local Rules, which set out
the contingency procedures for all envisaged scenarios regarding radioactive isotopes.

Should Company Personnel be working at a site be involved in a major environmental


incident, they shall secure the isotopes immediately and shall observe all instructions given to
them by management at that location.
